Sorry borncricketer! this time, ur wish is not fulfilled. But India have got down to a good score at the end of Day 1.

India reach a healthy 360/7 on Day 1 of the Third Test

India have reached 360/7 at the End of Day 1 of the third test in Kolkatta against Pakistan. India who looked to finish Day 1 with Laxman and Pathan now go into Day 2 with two new batsman at the crease. VVS Laxman was out in the fag end of the day and stumps was called once he was out!

India started off the Post Tea session on 241/4 with Ganguly and Laxman. Both played well until Ganguly tried to play a ball down the wicket and missed it to be LBW for 71.

Dinesh Karthick then joined VVS Laxman and took India forward. Karthick in particular played some delightful strokes and justified his selection with a well made 34 before he lobbed a cover drive in the air to be caught by Yousuf Youhana.

Laxman and Pathan then looked to take India without any more fall of wickets on Day 1 until Mohammed Sami seamed a ball back in to trap Laxman LBW in front of the wicket!

Pakistan bowled pretty well to pick 7 wickets but they should have given fewer runs to India. Still, this match is balanced and the team that wins the morning session tomorrow will probably go on to build the presssure on the other in this match!

India 360/7 | S Ganguly 71 | VVS Laxman 63 | S Tendulkar 60 | Md. Sami 4 wickets

Hopefully, Ganguly will play as well in the real tests as he is doing in this game...

oh well not a bad score so far - just hope that the indian tailenders are able to score atleast 100 runs that way india can have a good first innings total which puts them in the driving seat of this match!

yes, hope so.. i think he will do well this time.. his poor run seems to be coming to an end!

India bundle up for 400 all out!

Ravi: India have been dismissed for 400 runs. Though a good score, it was discouraging to see the Indian batsmen go wild today and in the process, lose their remaining wickets! They really committed hara-kiri today when they should have played sensibly and who knows, 450 might have been a possibility!

Rameez: Yes Ravi. No Indian tail ender wanted to stay at the wicket. Wonder what the advice from the seniors was before India started Day 2. Going back to Pakistan, they gave away too many extras. 41 runs is a lot of extras!!

Ravi: But still, 400 runs is a good score and India are indeed on top now. If they can get a lead of 100 runs or so, they stand a very good chance of improving their home series win record!!

Rameez: Yeah, but Pakistan especially after the Chennai test cant be discounted. The top order needs to fire today for Pakistan to fight back in this test. Inzamam and Youhana are in the best of their forms and again, Pakistan will look up to them to deliver. It should be exciting from now on!

India 400 all out | S Ganguly 71 | VVS Laxman 63 | Md.Sami 4/78

Rameez: Pakistan to begin their reply soon! Stay tuned!

Note: Hey guyz, I am gonna keep using Tutsi's current beta patch (Tutsi Beta-5) as it is released today by Tutsi. And I am also using CGPv2rr patch's cover advance fix as in the previous test, the cpu got out a lot to the advance cover drive shot!

Pakistan fight back well!

Dramatic start for Pakistan!

Pakistan started off disastrously, losing a wicket off the very first ball of the innings when Salman Butt edged one for Dinesh Karthick to take a brilliant catch! Pakistan were 0/1 . Then 2 overs later with the score still on 0, Younis Khan missed the ball completely to see his off stump rooted by Pathan. Pakistan were 0/2 and could not have hoped for anything worser than this.

But Inzamam Ul Haq along with Kamran Akmal have brought back normalcy into the camp with Inzamam scoring freely. Pakistan are now 23/2 off 8 overs.

P.s: After those 2 wickets, I was afraid if this latest Beta-5 patch would work against me. But it is working ok now. Lets see how it goes! Placing the cursor is damn hard and it moves very slow. Good job Tutsi!
--------------------------------------------------

Pakistan after that disastrous start, have fought back pretty well to post 72/2 at Lunch on Day 2. Inzamam is again leading the way for Pakistan will a well made 46*. Accompanying him is Akmal at 17*. The Indian bowlers after that two quick wickets, could not find the right line and length and bowled lot of wide deliveries which the Pakistanis took advantage of! Inzamam after reaching his 30's started hitting aggressive shots.

Last test, Akmal did not provide good support and was out early. Today, he was an epitome of concentration, leaving all the good balls and punishing the bad balls only. The partnership is already 72 runs and is looking good for a big one. India should do something to peg this back soon! They should introduce their spinners soon!

Pakistan 72/2 |Inzamam 46* | Akmal 17* | I Pathan 2/17

You better keep it tight...I don't think Pakistan will give it away easily! Great story this!!!

Yep. Need to keep it really tight! Lets see how this goes. I am also excited to know how it goes!

Pakistan fight back well

The second session of Day 2 has been Pakistan's except for the 2 wickets of Akmal and Inzamam that India took. Kamran Akmal played a masterful innings of 84 before he lobbed a catch to cover and was out.

VIDEO CLIP of Akmal's wicket

Earlier in the day, Inzamam played well for a fine half century before he stepped out to Harbhajan and completely missed the ball to be stumped by Karthick.

Yousuf Youhana is not out on 15* and accompanying him is Abdur Razzaq on 3*. India should remember that these two batted really well in Chennai and won the test for Pakistan. Pakistan are 170/4 at Tea on Day 2. Pakistan have scored 98 runs in the second session for 2 wickets and their run rate was a very healthy 3.50 per over in the second session. They need 30 more runs to avoid the follow on. Still, India has the upper hand since 400 is a huge score. But Pakistan are in the hunt too.

Pakistan 170/4 | K Akmal 84 | Inzamam 50 | H Singh 2/28

Broadcaster shifted to ESPN as Sky Sports have lost signal of the game! (Wanted to know the fall of wickets which Sky Sports didnt have!)

PAKISTAN FIGHT BACK VERY WELL!

Pakistan have come back into the game with a very good display of batting. They are on 281/6 and are just 119 runs behind with 4 wickets left!

Pakistan started off the last session of Day 2 at 170/4 with Yousuf Youhana. India had to pick wickets if they need to put pressure on pakistan. But Youhana and Razzaq played very well and negotiated the Indian bowlers. Youhana reached 46 before he lofted a ball straight into the hands of mid off.

Razzaq and Shoaib Malik then came together. Razzaq, by then, was in peak confidence and started belting the ball to all places in the ground. Malik was edgy but survived at the other end. Razzaq reached his 50 off 82 balls

Just when one thought Pakistan would wind up with 5 wickets in hand, Aleem Dar, the Pakistani umpire looked to ditch Pakistan with a controversial decision against Shoaib Malik. The ball looked to have no spin in it when Malik tried to leave it alone. It hit his pads and Aleem Dar raised his finger.

Pakistan still are in a very good position though India are also in this match. Next in is Shahid Afridi and if he can stand with Razzaq for the next session, India are in serious trouble.

Pakistan have scored 111 runs in the final session at above 4 runs an over! The pitch is expected to crack up by tea tomorrow and one can see it turning (will switch to Dusty pitch)! A great match in store ahead.

A result is expected in this match, going by the scoring rate of both the teams. Eden Gardens waits in anticipation of the result of this match and the series!

Great story Sai hope india win!!! HINDUSTAN ZINDIABAD!!!

Frustration for India as Pakistan refuse to get out!

India endured a session of frustration as Pakistan simply refused to get all out. At lunch, Pakistan are 346/9 and 1 more wicket remaining. But they have more importantly played out time and by tea when the wicket starts turning, India might be batting in and thats what Pakistan needed to do!

Abdur Razzaq reached his century this morning. This has been the first flawless innings of the series where the batsman reaches a 100 without getting any lives. He was then bowled by Harbhajan Singh for a brilliant 108.

Shahid Afridi accompanied him soon after for 24 when he lofted down to mid off but started running like there was no life for him without that run. He was run out for 24. Naved Ul Hasan then stood like a rock with Sami and blunted the bowlers for no runs until he too was run out when he attempted a second run and was found short of his ground.

Sami and Kaneria then took Pakistan to lunch at 346/9. The last three batsmen have so far frustrated the Indian bowlers by not picking up runs and leaving and defending every ball. Though Pakistan have scored only 62 runs in the session for 3 wickets, they can be heartened that their tail enders did a good job of frustrating the opposition. A 50-50 session for both teams!

Pakistan 346/9 | A Razzaq 108 | K Akmal 84 | H Singh 4/95
