Pakistan bringing back some calm after the storm!
Pakistan look to bring back some calm after the storm by the Indian top order batsman Ganguly and Tendulkar. After the 25 over mark, India are 155/3. Yuvraj Singh is not out on 4* off 14 balls and Rahul Dravid is not out on 24* off 33 balls. Both have played a part in the run rate falling down. Its now at 6.2 runs per over when at one stage, it was 7.5 runs per over. Pakistan should introduce their spinners soon to put more brakes in the Indian scoring!
270+ is a poor score buddy!! I need at least 300 to put pressure on pakistan. Did you see how they chased 308 the previous game? This wicket is similar to that one in Mumbai with nothing for the bowlers! I think anything below 290 and Pakistan can bat with less pressure!
(Since this patch works too good for me, India cant be assured of a win with 270-280 totals!)

India are now 193/4 after 33 overs. Yuvraj was out for 13 when he misjudged the spin of Shahid Afridi and was trapped LBW in front of the wicket! Kaif is not out on 8* and Dravid is not out on 43*.
Inzamam missed a trick of not introducing his spinners early. India have struggled throughout the series to spinners and the early introduction of spinners might have got more wickets at the cost of less runs! Anyways, all is not too late!
India's run rate now is 5.85 runs per over. The possible totals for India now are
Current run rate (5.85) - 292
At 5 runs per over - 278
At 6 runs per over - 295
At 7 runs per over - 312
Pakistan should be happy if they can restrict India to around 278-280. India should be looking to cross 300!

Pakistan have pegged India back brilliantly with two quick wickets. First to go was Dravid when he lofted a shot off Razzaq but missed the timing and was caught at mid off for a well made 50. Next to go was Dhoni in the very next over when a rank bad ball from Butt became a deadly weapon and found the gap between bat and pad to hit the stumps! India after 40 overs are 219/6 and Indian fans must be worried as at one stage India looked certain to cross 300 but now they must be settling for 270+ score which is not safe on this wicket!
Shocker from Shepherd - India 230/7!
A shocker of a decision from Shepherd cost India their 7th wicket. Salman Butt drifted down a delivery on the leg side and Pathan tried to play it away on the on side and missed. The ball would have easily missed leg stump but Shepherd thought otherwise and ruled Pathan out. India are now 230/7 off 42 overs.

India have posted a somewhat respectable total of 287 all out in the 3rd ODI between India and Pakistan at Chennai. India who looked to not even cross 250 at a period when Afridi and Butt began bowling together, somehow broke the shackles when Inzy gave them a lifeline by introducing Sami into the attack for the last few overs. Kumble tore into Sami hitting him for 14 runs off an over (my first advance slog shot of the match in the 48th over for six!). Zaheer Khan tore into him in the last over scoring 13 runs again (all no slogs, only lofted shots!). India have reached 287 but they must be disappointed because at one stage they looked certain to score 300. Pakistan must be really happy with this performance as it is certainly possible to chase this total even under lights and they must be eager to go and win this one!
Pakistan need 288 runs to win off 50 overs. I will be back with the Pakistan innings tomorrow as it is 11:30pm now. See you guys tomorrow.

Looks like your wish in on the right track. Pakistan are off to a flyer! They are 10/0 off 1 over. Pathan strayed in the first over and bowled a wide ball for four.

Both batsmen took ample advantage of the fielding restrictions and scored their runs very quickly. Ganguly was found wanting in his field placements as runs flowed all over. India had the Pakistani run rate at 5+ per over till the 12th over. But the introduction of spinners took Pakistan's run rate to close to 6 runs as Harbhajan was thrashed. India didnt want to bring in Kumble inside the 15 overs and so Tendulkar was given a bowl for an over and he gave Pakistan 13 runs of an over.
