Lots of options for India-New Zealand??

Australia will be a great option for the triangular!!! Will consider it also

Thanks to all for their inputs!! Will soon post the series to be played after the third ODI!

It seems Sri Lanka are going to play 5 One day internationals in India. So, this tournament will also be included when I play the next series (most probably against New Zealand in NZ! Here is the news of Sri Lanka playing 5 ODI's against India in India

it was player vs computer. this whole series has been a "Player vs computer" affair with India being the player and Pakistan being the computer. This first test match (the one which you are implying to!) was played with a different patch than the next two ones. Thats why you see an unrealistic score there. As the tests kept coming, i was trying to increase the difficulty of the patches and i hit upon tutsi's latest beta-5 patch which is taking me through right from the 2nd test till the recently conclued 2nd ODI

Third ODI - Chennai; A Preview

The third ODI is going to be played at the M.A.Chidambaram stadium in Chennai tomorrow on the 20th of March. The wicket looks to be another cracker for batting and the batsman are in for another day of big scoring. Both the teams are out there in Chennai practising. A few late night showers threatened to spoil the sport but they are unseasonal showers in one of the hottest cities in India!

India have the 2-0 lead and one more win and they can be assured against a series defeat. On the other hand, Pakistan must win this one to keep their hopes of winning the series alive. It promises to be a very good encounter. The Pakistan team has been retained from the first two ODI's.

India have a change in their ODI line up. Zaheer Khan returns back to the side to replace Balaji. Balaji who almost bowled India to a defeat at Mumbai has been sidelined for this match.

Match to start at 11:00am EST. This will be a Day/Night affair.

Remember, the ODI series viewers contest ends after the first innings of the third ODI. So, those who have not yet participated in this contest, give in your entries now. The questions are:

1. Predict the Man of the Series
2. Predict the winner of this series (mention if it would be a drawn series!)

Answers to both questions must be right. One wrong answer and the entry is disqualified! All winners would get reputation points from me!

Thanks for your options.

Will start the 3rd ODI soon in a few minutes!!

Pakistan win toss and surprisingly, elect to field first!

Pakistan have decided to field first on a Normal batting wicket at the MA Chidambaram stadium for the third ODI between India and Pakistan. The wicket, which looks very good for batting might do a few tricks when Pakistan chases.

tossscreen5rp.jpg

Inzamam: I feel this wicket might have some moisture in it at the start and it might help our seamers. If we can restrict India to around 250-270, we think we have a good chance of winning this one!

Chappell: Any changes in ur team?
Inzy: No changes. We are fielding the same squad.

Ganguly: We are very pleased to bat first. We are looking at a total of 300+ to put pressure on Pakistan. On this wicket, any total doesnt look safe defending. So we need to make sure of a 300+ total.

Chappell: Any changes in ur squad?
Ganguly: Zaheer comes in for Balaji who had a pretty ordinary game at Mumbai

Pakistan strike!

Pakistan have stuck!! Sehwag, looking to leave the ball outside the off stump made a fatal misjudgement and saw his off stump rattled! He is out for 1 as India are 19/1 off 2 overs.

India 19/1 | S Tendulkar 11* | S Ganguly 4*

Elated that my story has been selected the best for the month of March! Thanks to all members who voted for me!

India on a carnage - 119/2

India are on a carnage process as they are belting the Pakistanis all over the place. They have raced away to 119/2 off 15 overs. But luckily for the Pakistanis, they have picked up the danger man Sachin Tendulkar for 54 off the last ball of the 15th over to try and breathe back into the game!

Sachin was again into his purple patch today, stroking the ball straight down the ground and rocking onto his backfoot and punching the ball for fours. Until the ball which got him, he never looked like getting out!

Ganguly hit the fastest of the 50's today with his 50 coming up off 36 balls. He went for the first lofted shot today and he was in a destructive mode today, belting the ball all over the ground. He is not out on 52* off 41 balls.

If Pakistanis do not pick up quick wickets, India might well run away to a total of 300+ which will make the task very difficult for them!

India 119/2 | Sachin Tendulkar 54 | S Ganguly 52*

wohoo, good start by india. good to see ganguly among runs.

Bad luck man!! He is done in now!!

Ganguly castled!

Ganguly is bowled now by Mohammed Sami for 62. He was well set up by a few short deliveries at his rib cage by Sami. And then Sami lured him by bowling a yorker which Ganguly completely missed and was bowled for 62. India now 135/3 off 20 overs!
