India Team Discussion

Absolutely rubbish idea to bring in another IPL. I mean we already have 8 weeks of IPL and it is more than enough. If you don't have any cricket in September doesn't mean you just add in another IPL. Let the players rest for some time because they are not machines. IPL is already long enough competition and by adding another IPL will be just an overkill.
For money, they can even play instead of taking rest ..........:yes

This is annoying, but not surprised at all. This was on the cards with the space vacated by Champions League T20.[DOUBLEPOST=1466791403][/DOUBLEPOST]On the other hand, if they play in US/Canada I wont be complaining at all :P

Not in South Africa again. I doubt if it would be USA because there are very few grounds here and it will be onset of the fall season and chances of snow are pretty high. Cricket in USA/Canada has to be between April and July.

It would be nice if its in Australia or England. An IPL game in MCG or Lords would be superb.

If they have a mini IPL they can easily accommodate in Florida which does not see Snow and Los Angeles like the Warne vs Tendulkar series. Houston is a good option too. Yes the majority of Indians in USA would be in Tristate like NJ NYC Penn, CT, Boston but those place would attract good crowd too. I think they should wait and see how CPL goes which has plenty of rocking players too. If the crowd is decent there then I am sure IPL would be houseful.

No way. The Warne vs Tendulkar series was played on "joke of a stadiums". IPL cant be played on a baseball field. You need a proper stadium that adheres strictly to ICC guidelines.

There are no ICC when BCCI out to make money, guidelines?

It says "US is one of the options". Frankly, I am not too enthused with the US option. Most games in Florida, because it will be pretty cold in New York/New Jersey and these two are the only places with stadiums that can hold cricket games. If they play IPL on baseball fields, it will be a massive disaster and I am sure the BCCI wont agree to it.

Is there any chance for the suspended teams, CSK and RR to play the mini-IPL? :D Since this is not the regular IPL, why can't they play? I know they will say "these two teams are banned from all franchise cricket for two years" blah blah blah.

What about auction friend ? All of their players were sold to different franchises.

Assuming the teams remain the same. I would be surprised if every player agreed to do another IPL...

Tbf fair im really not liking this microscope coverage this move is getting..it always doesnt bode well

Feeling the same way

The hype around Jumbo's appointment is a little too much. Ofcourse nothing to do with him or the team, its the media that is going nuts .. but it just adds unwanted pressure on the coach and eventually on the team.
