I don't mind Kohli becoming the captain in all 3 formats as I feel it will allow MSD to play freely like he used to do before.

It is such a waste to pick an inexperienced side and have MS Dhoni as their Team Captain.He would likely only utilize 11 of them in the whole series.

Rahane and Rohit should never compete for the opening spot in tests. JUST NO!! JUST NO!! Opening in tests is entirely different from opening in ODI or T20. For me also, KL Rahul is the first choice but if something makes KL Rahul not play the game, then Dhawan has to open with Vijay. Opener's position is not the same as other positions. Even if Dhawan is not in the form we expect him to be in, if he is picked as an opener in the test squad, he has to open if Vijay or Rahul can't play

Rahane is a middle order bat and should stay there. And Rohit cant compete with Rahane in the middle order because Rahane is an established guy in the test XI. Rohit can only compete with Pujara, who has unfortunately not yet cemented his place. But I would continue giving Pujara the backing over Rohit.

He played 8 matches. He was below, way below average. With whatever chance he got, he should have played well. Atleast make run-a-ball. But he failed in that too. Blaming the management side for his poor performance is ridiculous. Yes, they shuffled players a lot. But Negi was just horrible.

That was bad talk from Negi. Certainly not doing himself favors by letting off such words. First of all, he was massively overrated at the auctions when he was picked for huge money. When people spoke about his batting, I was like "really, why is this guy being overrated for his batting".

He needs to work on his skills, keep his head down and wait for his opportunities rather than shoot off his mouth.

BCCI ushers in big home season: 13 Tests, six new venues | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

The BCCI has announced that Rajkot, Visakhapatnam, Pune,Dharamsala, Ranchi and Indore will debut as Test venues in India's 2016-17 home season, which will include series against New Zealand, England, Australia and Bangladesh.

In all, India's home season will include 13 Tests, eight ODIs and three T20Is; 13 Tests equal the record for the highest number of home Tests in a season for India. The previous time these many were held was in 1979-80.

Also, this will be criticized too on the lines of: India is setting up so many home matches to get a jump on the rankings. While conveniently forgetting the long period of overseas tournaments we played. India's progress in world cricket will amount to nothing to the critics .. Calling it right now.
