In place of Saha ? I don't think so. DK's wicket keeping skills are average and he in LO he is surely not replacing Dhoni. If he has to come back as just batsmen, I imagine he would have to make lot of runs. I don't know how much he has scored though.

Yes, he had a great domestic season this year. He is averaging 50+ in all the formats and had the remarkable average of 80+ in Vijay Hazare Trophy and 52 in Duleep trophy. He has also played quite well in Ranji Trophy too.

He deserves a chance as a batsman, if not the wicketkeeper batsman.

I checked his last 10 scores and it's good. He has 2 100+ and 4 50+ in 10 innings. If it's for one day, I don't think he will get chance. Jadhav or Dhoni is not going anywhere and if they omit yuvi, jinx is there.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. Kedar Jadhav should be stuck with as he definitely has taken over the finisher role really well. He has also shown he can play big innings when team needs it. DK has scored really well but I agree he doesn't fit in the team atm.

DK is surely in contention for extra wk batsman in CT 2017 also considering his performance last time around.Lets see what the selectors decide whether they want to go with senior one or send a young keeper.
Ipl performance will be taken into account as well.

Ya i remember this match for the Delhi boys with gg with a double hundred and a fifer for Virender Sehwag and turned out to be Anil Kumble's last one in international cricket.
P.S - Laxman also scored a double ton .

Few thoughts-

1. Is Rohit Sharma in good form ? I think he played well only in one match against NZ. So far he has been silent in ipl. He was decent in last game. He will be selected obviously and rightfully, hope he finds his touch before ipl ends.

2. They are not dropping Yuvi after his recent England series. He is better option than Raina at the moment. So, why not select yuvi.

3. Will Rahane get chance to play ? If Rahul is fit, he will be opening. And Rahane should not play anywhere below #3. And I think he didn't play well in ENG series. So, I don't think he will get chance unless Rahul or Rohit is unfit.

4. Kuldeep Yadav or Chahal ? Chahal has better experience than Kuldeep. I would prefer chahal.

5. Knowing India, they will surely pick 2 spinners even in England. Jadeja is fixed. And another will be Ashwin. I feel Ashwin is an average LO bowler. Honestly I would like to see Kuldeep Yadav or Chahal playing ahead of him, but it won't happen. Although, he was good in last CT which was held in England.

Won't be surprised to see the back of Dhawan tbh. He has scored some runs in the IPL but has looked ugly while scoring those. I hope he isn't picked. But Indian selectors have a habit of going backwards. I love Yuvraj but I think he shouldn't be in the team now. It's time we give the likes of Manish Pandey and Rishab Pant a prolonged run.

Why do the selectors still go for Yuvraj? As a Pakistani, Yuvi has been one of my favourite players over the years and will all admire his personal strength through his battles but surely he is well past it. It's sad to see sportsmen fade out of the team after being picked like Harbajahn and now Yuvraj
