What happened to "the world's fastest Indian bowler not to be seen anywhere recently" Atul Sharma? I know it has nothing to do with this topic but seen some recent posts about bowling so thought popping this up.
Does anybody think that Sachin Tendulkar still can make a century in this upcoming South Africa tour? I also believe Pujara will fare well on those pitches as his technique is reminiscent of Rahul Dravid and he has a lot of patience and skill ( 2 double hundreds already in less than 15 test matches).
Hopefully we all get to see another masterful innings from Tendulkar in his 200th test and if he can help India win the series that would be a wonderful time for him to retire from the game.
I don't know about Tendulkar - I never do. I've criticized him before but then he somehow seems to come good, so I just kind of wait and watch. Pujara looked like a chump the last time he was in South Africa, but hopefully he's tightened up since then and should be a useful presence at the critical one-drop position.
Since Dhawan's technique is largely untested in difficult conditions, it's entirely possible that Pujara will be in to bat very early in the innings.
Despite popular belief Sachin is not only after his 200th test but also wants that triple century. Also as much as I want him to retire it would be very selfish not to retire on home soil, the Indians have supported him through good and bad times he is their god, he is their king, he is their hero, they deserve to see him play his last test inns on Indian soil!
^Yeah like south africa a have put up a challenging lineup right?
