Delighted that at least one platform has raised the questions. Delighted! Kohli's politicking and monarch needs to end.

This is FANTASTIC! Absolutely FANTASTIC! They just read my mind out loud and created a video discussion out of it. Well done Harsha Bhogle for bringing this out of the closet and out in the open.

Yes, we won the series but I will still say the same thing that I said before the series started. India needs to change their approach in T20's. What England has done is they are playing ODI's as an extension of T20. However, India is playing T20 as the same approach as they play ODI format. I don't think this approach will work in future. They have to bring in KL Rahul and give him the license to go after the bowling from ball 1. Rohit has to play because of the kind of form he is in. Virat's T20 game was at it's peak in 2016-17 season when he smashed 900 runs in IPL and also lead to us whitewashing Austrlia in T20 series Australia . I think after that he just didn't play as many T20I because most of the times he was rested by the selectors. His T20 game at the moment is not as strong as it was then but if I have to choose a number 3 right now for Indian T20 team, I am still choosing him over Pandey or Iyer. Even though it seems prettu unpopular opinion, I do like have Pant at number 4 in this line-up. Firstly he will provide that left hand variation after top 3 right handers. Secondly, when he is on song, he can easily clear the boundary even in the middle overs. However, he has just wasted two golden opportunities given to him in this series. This idea is also risky since as I mentioned in my last post, we don't have anyone in India right now who can go after bowling straight away and can bat at number 5. None of Pandey/Iyer will give you runs at this position because they are both number 3 and at most number 4 players. I don't like Hardik batting at number 5 but I think he should be a lock at number 6. I also think Krunal Pandya is very under-rated and he is a must in T20. Jadeja is an ideal replacement for him but if I have to choose one of them, I will go for Krunal. He is definitely more consistent with bat, in bowling Jadeja is a very safe bet and Krunal can be unreliable but on his day, he has the ability to pick important wickets. Jadeja is definitely the better fielder but Krunal is not a bad fielder and is very handy in the field. I would also want to see one wrist spinner in the line-up. I am not exactly sure who that will be at the moment. In fast bowling, I think Bumrah and Bhuvi is lock and if you want to add a bit of variety, Khaleel Ahmed can be a good option.

Again, just because we don't have any option right now who can bat at number 5, we have to have one of Pandey/Iyer play at 4 and have Pant at 5. I am not a fan of this option but we don't have any other option right now.

I have no issue whatsoever with Pant at 4. I absolutely love the kid. But, it's a ridiculous option with Pandey in the side who needs time before he can freely score at 100 let alone 150-200. If we are going for Pant at 4, then kudos but then stick with that decision in good and bad times but also choose a side accordingly. If Kohli is 3 and Pant is 4 then Iyer and Pandey shouldn't even be in the squad. It is barbaric. We have dropped DK based on 2 innings in the WC but it seems like he's the best option available to us. No-one bar H Pandya after 3 knows what's going on. This is what happens when goons and fools run a cricket team. It seems to me that instead of having a sore hangover about the shaky middle order, our coach and captain have actually decided to drink further and complicate matters.

My personal opinion is-

1) Rohit Sharma
2) KL Rahul
3) Virat Kohli
4) Pick & Stick till World T20
5) Rishabh Pant
6) Hardik Pandya
7) Ravindra Jadeja
8) Bhuvaneshwar Kumar
9) Kuldeep Yadav
10) Mohommad Shami / Navdeep Saini
11) Jasprit Bumrah

And, we need to play this side all around the globe so that they have enough confidence of not being dropped as well as playing on all sorts of surfaces so that when there is a time one of them need to adapt on a day like the semi final and final, they are used to it. If Hardik Pandya and Bumrah need rest, replace them with people you actually will take in the 15 and/or like for like replacements. For example and I bloody hope not, Vijay Shankar for Hardik Pandya. The communication to Shankar should be clear.. You play if Hardik goes. Not be kept hanging around and uncertain and insecure..

Just see this nonsense. Our vision is only short term. Let's just win bilaterals and meaningless series and fill the record books with numbers.. who cares how prepared we are for the world t20?

In an ideal world, most of our senior players would have sat out the limited overs fixtures of this tour like eight years ago or at worst played only the T20Is due to the upcoming World Cup.

Again I absolutely agree with the video over here. But there is also a problem with the board. They are giving more freedom to the Captain which makes him believe that he definitely has the right to say a lot of things in the media that could've been discussed behind the scenes. There should be some discussions as well that should go on regarding what has to be spoken in the media. Who knows that others might have also stood in support to have Ravi Shastri ? But having Shastri brings a kind of a delusion towards Kohli that he is the only right person who can say whatever he wants to no matter if it's a rubbish or not.

I don't think Kohli alone should be held responsible for what all has happened in the past 2-3 years. The people who are above him can also take up their initiative to make the Captain feel comfortable in a team environment ? They can say him “We know you are not comfortable working with that coach or that staff or whatever it is but you can still give that person or that staff their time. You are free to discuss personally even with them". The only thing they had to do which they didn't. Which shows the management above him doesn't care enough. That's what it is.

Yeah.. I really like how Kohli and Shastri have worked towards building a pool of quicks. I think we've learnt that side of things from Australia in particular but the rest of it is just a humongous sham.

England lost their last Test series to West Indies with a full-strength side. And remember this Test series is not going to be played just for the sake of it. It's India's start to their World Test Championship campaign. Also I don't see a problem in going for the win thing but the quality should be equally looked upon. And actually even our limited overs side is not a full-strength atm. We don't have Bumrah, Hardik and our 2 wrist spinners for this series.

Deepak Chahar just doing CSK things, right now :D:p He is a scary good new ball bowler who rips through the opposition at the start. A very juicy fast bowling backup is building for India with Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar and Khaleel Ahmed, to complement the frontline trio of Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar and Shami.

Batting today is deep! :lol

Bet Kohli will bat above Pandey even today~

Another series goes by, Iyer on tour but untested. Pandey hardly got a decent hit either!

Our quick bowling pool is the only thing that gives us hope now. Shami, Bumrah, Bhuvi, Ishant, Umesh, Saini, Khaleel, Chahar is as good a pace bowling pool as any in world cricket right now. Cannot wait for the tests to start in the WI. Will be a good one. Two very good pace attacks. WI have a successful quartet inGabriel. Joseph, Roach and Holder as well, with Thomas and Cottrell as backup.
