India v England 2008

Meeeeh pointless game ATM. England would have to play this like an ODI chasing 360+ to win. That would be pretty entertaining!

They should just declare already...It's not like 367 runs will be chased down in two sessions. Not by England anyways...

It appears India has declared. Images on Neo Cricket showed Dhoni in the field with his helmet on.... so maybe India starting with spin?

EDIT: I'm confused. The "experts" seem to talk about the Indian batsmen coming out and looking for a century. Maybe they were running old pictures of Dhoni?

Absolute farce this. An Aussie side at its peak would never wait for Hussey or Symonds to get a hundred before declaring. They should`ve declared after lunch or even just before lunch and tried to see if they could force a result.Shockingly poor attitude from a side which is trying to establish itself on the top of the test rankings. It is not even that both were on 98 or 99 ! They were on 80 at lunch.

It is matches like this which kill test cricket.

And what more, the batsmen are showing no intent to win.All they seem to be concerned with is the 3-figure mark.Ridiculous.We`ll never become the best side in the world if this obsession with the 3-figure mark continues.

The ICC must bring in a rule where it makes it possible to call off play well in advance of the last hour if both captains feel they cannot have a result. It is very clear in this can that Dhoni does not feel he can eek out a result here.He seems to be more intent at letting his batsmen score hundreds than winning this one.Very disappointed to say the least. The lack of intent is what is irritating me.

This atttude of being satisfied with 1-0 wins must change. We saw it in England last year by Dravid,in the West Indies in 2006,against Pakistan in 2007 and now in this series.Had we converted all of those to 2-0 wins or better, we would have firmly been in the No.2 position by now.

Yes! Dhoni is out! Maybe now he will declare, maybe he wanted to bat himself.

He will wait for Harbhajan and Zaheer to get 100s and then declare by the end of next week.:p

Three run outs in 2nd innings  is this poor communication or suicidal :p Dhoni is confused after seeing such shots from KP. He is thinking what if KP alone finish the run chasing :D

After Yuvraj, Gambhir has too now lost his concistency and concentration. He iso ut too :p

They should have declared a time ago, but India has declared now. 403 runs to get within 43 overs.

Even Bangladesh would not be bowled out within 43 overs.

Dont know when the heck MSD will declare. If were MSD i would have declared when the lead was 320-325. Had he declared then we would have still got a chance to wrap England up under 200-250.

Finally, the declaration thank GOD. But it's too late, the game will almost surely be a draw

And what was the point of batting out half an hour after lunch ? Neither of them got a hundred.
