Hi! Finally I have my hands on a copy of C2005 and my personal opinion is it is pretty playable. So what best way to have fun than by playing a series between the fiercest rivalries in the world of sport - India vs Pakistan.

India will be touring Pakistan to take part in The Allianz Cup test series and The Hutch Cup ODI series.

INDIA NAME TOURING SQUAD FOR TESTS

The BCCI selection commitee has announced the 16 member team that will play the Allianz test series against Pakistan.

The whole of India was rocked by the inclusion of Sourav Ganguly whose place in the side looked a far memory till last night. Also making a comeback into the team are speedster Zaheer Khan and wicket keeper Parthiv Patel who were in international exile for quite some time.

The team consists of 3 specialist openers in Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Wasim Jaffer. 4 speedsters in Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan and Rudra Pratap Singh. 2 'keepers in Dhoni and Patel. 2 spinners in Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble and 5 middle order batsmen of highest quality in Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh and V.V.S Laxman.

Rahul Dravid will remain captain for the team.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has expressed happiness over his selection for the Indian team that will tour Pakistan. Ganguly was unceremoniously dumped from the team for the third test against Sri Lanka. While many believed that was the end of the road for the enigmatic southpaw, his inclusion in the team has come as a huge shock to the public.

Ganguly said

"I am really glad to be picked for the team that will tour Pakistan. I know I was not in my best of forms but now I am very confident and aim to do well. I am going to treat every game as my first and gve my ultimate all for the team"

On his weakness against the short pitched bowling..

"True, I did have an inclination to move my eyes away while playing the short pitched ball, but now I have successfully corrected my technique. I have adjusted my stance and also my backlift. Now I feel comfortable in playing the short balls. I even look to hook a few"

On his bowling..

"Yeah! I have improved a lot and I personally feel that I am at my prime now. I did have good amount of success in the Ranji matches."

On the team's prospects

"We have a pretty much balanced side. The team has a fair mix of youth and experience. So I am rooting for our win"

Squad for the test series to be announced after the Practice match

The PCB has announced a 12 man team for the Pakistan A team that will take on India XI at Lahore.

Pakistan test regulars Salman Butt and Danish Kaneria will play the game as they look forward to gain some valuable match practice. Umar Gul returns after a long injury lay off.

Salman Butt will lead the team. The Pakistan team for the Allianz Cup will be announced after the practice game.

India win the toss and elect to bat.

India have fielded a full strength team to face the Pakistan A team at Lahore. Missing the game would be Sourav Ganguly, Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar. All three openers will play this game.

Pakistan A have left Bazid Khan from the starting line up. Indian skipper Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat first. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir walked out to open the innings while Fazal e Akbar opened the bowling.

Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have begun their tour well. Even though they were cautious at the beginning they ran quick singles and hit the ball for the occasional four.

Sehwag and Gambhir put on 50 for the first wicket

The openers have raised their 50 run partnership in 17 overs. Sehwag was quick to sweep the spinners Kaneria and Imran Nazir for a couple of boundaries, whereas Gambhir was more circumspect waiting for the bad balls.
