At least Mumbai have not followed the start of past 2 years. Mitch McCleneghan was great with ball and bat. Buttler and Rohit were superb. Bhajji and Bumrah also did well with ball.

Neither can I and I'm no huge fan of Irfan or RPS. Dhoni's comments about the all rounders are not fair on him, Morkel and Perera.

Poor poor stuff from Dhoni! Blaming lack of quality allrounders when you have Morkel, Perera and Irfan in the squad. If Dhoni thinks Irfan should never get a game, atleast for the sake of friendship, he should ask the franchise to release Irfan so that he can play elsewhere.

Gujarat as expected look really good. BMac and Finch are forming a very explosive opening partnership, much like how BMac and Smith formed for CSK last few IPL's. With Bravo, Raina, Jadeja, Faulkner and the likes, Gujarat look better than Pune inspite of Pune getting Dhoni.

You clearly haven't seen him bowl in Vijay Hazare trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He has been a force for Gujarat. He and Bumrah has done so good in partnerships since RP moved to Gujarat it came as a surprise to me why Gujarat owners didn't go for RP during the auction.

I also echo the comments about the bizarre exclusion of Irfan Pathan particularly when he was the top wicket taker in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy and when Dhoni feels the need of allrounders. There are not many better local allrounders than Irfan around so like everyone else Dhoni's comments were shocking to say he is lacking allrounders and its not even like his team is jampacked with talents like CSK was. Irfan can easily make into the team for Bhatia. I am sure there are teams around who would go any stretch to get Irfan in their team because in T20s he bring in a lot of balance to the side.

As far as KP is concerned, he is here to stay. He has scored 900 runs in various T20 competitions since November 2015. Why would you want him to be dropped for one innings in which too he batted decently. Coming in at #3 scoring 37 off 31 balls is okay. Of course he's got the ability to hit but can't expect him to go berserk everytime. What are Dhoni, Marsh and Bhatia in the team for?

ya i havnt seen his recent state performances, but from what i have seen of him before as well as these few matches, i think he isnt cut to play at this level, plus compared to irfan he isn't good, also plainly as t20 he doesn't bring much to table, isnt a terrific fielder cant bat, plus doesn't bowl all that well unlike nehra, who can bowl exceptionally even though he is a zero in the other categories! Hence my quip on MS decision making with regards to RP, whom i remember was once flown in from a holiday as replacement in some tour!
