Yeah why they didn't pick Tambe is beyond me. That guy is fabulous. But I will always have Finch ahead of anyone in T20. I can't get why is he so underrated. That guy has time and again shown us what he is capable of especially in this format.

You're probably correct. Finch is underrated maybe because he doesn't bat flashy like West Indians or McCullum do.

Dwivedi has a good strike rate. In the current set up of GL, Ishan Kishan can't open and he certainly can't bat low than #3 so better have someone who can actually hit the ball at #7 than going with Kishan dilemma. Of course he's talented but T20 is a cruel game for old style players.

I feel like Utthappa has the same handicap as Rahane/Vijay - even more so, because he is great when playing down the line and hitting in the V. Not so convincing with the horizontal bat shots, especially on the offside. Decent puller though. Vijay is the more "creative" of the 3, but still a bit too classical

We need someone like Vohra or Pandya or someone, who can just go broke from ball 1. Keep clearing the field.

We won't have the perfect T20 opening batsman. I feel Vijay has shown time and again that he is far more flashier in strokeplay than Rahane and also clears the boundary with far more ease than Rahane. Either of them is a way better option than Dhawan and both can be in the squad. But I prefer Vijay ahead of Rahane (because I know Rohit won't be moved - he has even promoted himself to open for Mumbai now, stating that he is now a specialist opener) because both are equally good at technique, but for T20 Vijay has comfortably play the big shots but Rahane struggles (yes he played a great innings in the first IPL game but again this is IPL - again Vijay has got almost nil opportunities in intl T20).

Uthappa - lets see how his current form is. If good, he takes the lead with Vijay being the backup. Either way, Rahane comes after them IMO. P.s: I want to see how Rahane does when Pune bats first on a batting beauty where big totals can be chased easily, or when Pune are set to chase a massive total where they need to keep up with the pace frenetically from almost the begiining where even 6-7 run overs increase the required run rate to worrying levels. That's where he will be severely tested. And these scenarios will happen very often in today's world of T20.

Vohra is one guy to look forward to this season.
Also why is Gurkeerat Mann not being given much of a chance? Saha slowed down the scoring rate massively, he alone lost us 10/20 runs, not that it may have made a massive different but it would've changed Gujarat's approach play in the mid overs.

Finally a decent game in the IPL. Kohli is a master though does look slightly weaker in the RCB compared to Indian kit. I can see a 200 score at this rate.

Sarfaraz has been a blast. Hope his talent is looked upon closely and improved.

And the reason why kohli opened is because kohli had said in last season that abd has to face lot of balls as the more number of balls he faces, more dangerous he can be. And kohli can't come down anywhere after #3 position. But Watson can play down the order unlike kohli. And that's why kohli opened the batting.
Great total. Hope we can defend it. I feel we should have included aravind instead of one of the spinner.
