Story Indian Premier League[C07]-Mumbai vs Bangalore - Who won??

Easy win coming up for Daredevils. Excellent presentation.

Royals in very deep trouble

Royals needed to chase down a huge total for a victory . It was never gonna be easy with the bowling attack of the Daredevils . Mohd Asif was given the new ball and he bowled brilliantly in his first over by just giving 7 runs and taking a wicket of Phil Jaques . Phil Jaques previously smashed Asif for a four over mid on and the next ball he was caught at square leg by Ross Taylor . Royals lost Jaques for 6 and new man in was Dilshan . Matt Prior went soon . He was caught at point by Sehwag a very safe catch by the captain and he departed for 4 runs . Royals were in deep trouble at 15/2 .

Kevin Pietersen was new man in . He and Dilshan made a small partnership of 15 runs including 3 boundaries 2 by Dilshan and 1 by Pietersen . But then due to a mix up KP was run out just by a cm or so and Royals lost an important wicket of KP on 5 and Royals look in deep trouble at 31/3 . Danger man Andrew Symonds was in . There was a boo from the crowd as he walked in . But no sooner Asif striked again to get rid of Dilshan . Dilshan was caught a extra cover boundary by Morkel just inside the boundary ropes . Dilshan went for 19 and Royals were 37/4 . Virat Kohli the under 19 India winning captain was in . He looked a bit careful in his shot selection as Royals had lost 4 wickets . Kyle Mills was given the last over of power play . But the over turned out to be a bit expensive . Symonds smashed Mills over extra cover for a six and then he smashed him over mid on for four . So at the end of 6 overs Royals were 49/4 .

Go Dehli, good work Shan be back to help with the story after this match mate...kutgw

Roy needs to lead from the front here and score a big knock. If his wicket falls I can't see the Royals getting back into this.

Excellent work mate, great effort :)

jeez shan, your making my picks look bad

Symonds brings Royals back in the game

Royals needed a huge partnership from these two batsmen in the crease . Symonds and Kohli responded well to the task . They both rotated the strike very well . As the run rate was rising they used their big shots . Kohli smashed Mills over covers for a huge six . Symonds also belted Mills in the same over for a huge six . Mills was very expensive in his first spell of 2 overs . Sehwag was looking a bit worried as the Royals were keeping a constant run rate of 9 runs per over . Sehwag finally brought his spinner Botha in the attack . Kohli sweeped him for a huge six of the first ball . But Botha responded very well the next ball . Virat Kohli was trapped leg before . Kohli went back for a fighting 17 of 9 balls . New man in was Adam Voges .

Adam Voges was bowled by Botha of the 2nd ball . A great of spinning delivery beat Voges and hit the leg stump . Royals were in deep trouble at 79/6. Shane Warne came in . Botha was very economical in his first over . Virender Sehwag decided to give himself a go . Sehwag also bowled well by giving just 7 runs in his first over . The momentum was now shifting . Botha was again given the ball and again he just gave some 8 runs . For a change David Hussey was given the ball . Hussey was smashed for 11 runs in his first over which included a chicky late cut by Symonds which raced for 4 . Sehwag brought himself again . But this time he was smashed for a huge six by Andrew Symonds over long on . On the other side Warne was taking ones and twos . Botha was again given the ball . Now it was Warne who belted Botha for a huge six over long off . The momentum was again shifting now . All the fielding was spread and twos were not difficult to take and the batsmen did excatly the same and rotated the strike . At end of 14 overs Royals are 125/6 .

Royal need 16 of 6 balls

Well Royals needed 56 runs in 36 balls which was not at all difficult in T20 format . Symonds was in great form and Warne was supporting him quite well . Daredevils needed a wicket at this stage and they got the wicket of Warne . He was caught by David Hussey at short third man and Warne departed for 24 and Royals were 127/7. Irfan Pathan was the new man in . He started with his natural game . Pathan smashed Botha for a huge six over mid wicket . Symonds reached his half century with a quick single . Well another partnership was beginning now . Symonds was lucky as he top edged one of Kyle Mills and it went over the keeper for four . As Mills was agan expensive .

Pathan smashed him for a six and a four of the same over . Royals were looking to reach the target easily but then Sehwag bowled a superb over just giving 2 runs of it . Mohd Asif continued and he got rid of the very dangerous man Andrew Symonds of the first ball . Symonds was caught at square leg by Morkel for 55 . Royals were 158/8 . Harmison was the new man in and he fave pathan the strike fo the first ball . Pathan got 7 runs of the last 4 balls . So just one over left . Royals need 16 runs of 6 balls . Will Pathan be the hero?
