Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Disappointing stuff from Punjab today. Umesh Yadav ripped the heart out of their batting (not including Yuvraj, who is a body playing out there with no soul whatsoever). And Punjab's spinners also do not look too threatening. For a franchise that was the star attraction at the auctions this year and were said to look good, they actually are looking mediocre.

Umesh Yadav has been fantastic in both games he has played so far. Pace and accuracy combined, which is a rarity for him. Hope he continues in the same vein. An India call up in the limited overs format is not far away if he keeps this up.

Ashwin is arguing with Umpire S. Ravi when other players are shaking hands. lol!

Finally after so many matches, won a home game. If we go with the same team combination, we will lose more games. The last 11 games ABD played for RCB, all ended up in loss. So, he will definitely be happy with this.

Neither KXIP nor RCB were really interested in winning the match. It was a game of "who gives up to whom". In the end, ABD found it too hard to give it up :D

A great thing about this season's IPL is that, no team (barring Hyderabad to an extent) has looked really on top. All teams are showing weakness signs and vulnerability. Good for the organizers, but can be painful and heartbreaking for the audience who follow this with so much passion and emotions.

Nagarkoti out of this IPL. I really wanted to see him play out there. Now I hope Gill gets a chance for KKR in place of Rinku Singh who has failed both times.

Some serious Carnage out here at the Wankhede 84 from first 6 overs. Looks like an absolute belter of a track though and short boundaries does make it even more easier for the batsmen.

I think if KXIP get yuvi out and get manoj tiwary in and get finch at the top of the order, their batting line up will be very powerful. If not finch Gayle can come in and open with Rahul, mayank 3, nair 4 Stoinis 5 and manoj 6. The have a very explosive batting lineup but they will face problems with the pitches that support pace. They can also go the other mile and drop Stoinis, being sran or rajpoot in and open with Gayle and Rahul, Finch at 3 Andy slot everyone else down 1. I really want to see KXIP take the trophy this year

From 84/0 in 6 overs to 194/7 in 20 overs.
DD bowlers bowled very well in the second half.

Really agree with this. Manoj was really effective last year and thus can provide a great finish at the end.[DOUBLEPOST=1523713853][/DOUBLEPOST]Jason Roy, what a man![DOUBLEPOST=1523713976][/DOUBLEPOST]Markande fails this match. Hioe he comes back strong.

This start means that MI will win this time.

Jason Roy played very well.
This is the highest run chase in Wankhede Stadium.
