Indian Premier League - General Discussion

IPL build up with Irfan Pathan singing, dancing and playing kabaddi. It's a good example of how IPL's riches can spoil someone rotten. Almost feel like giving him a wrap.

You cannot simulate match situations to this extent. You basically pick the bowler you think might win you the game. CSK will win hands down today. You should start the anti-jinx tirade.

No anti-jinx, but SRH is the better team here and they are best primed here to take advantage of the "law of averages", having lost to CSK thrice this season. Their bowling dipped in the ending stages of the league but has shown alarming improvement in both the Qualifiers. On a batting pitch, they can pound our weakness (i.e. our bowling) and on a bowling pitch, their bowlers can run through our lineup. Only big thing in CSK's favor is the shock absorbent factor and the mountain of experience that they use to take things deep and play with the opposition mentally.

I will enjoy the final! For me, CSK being in the final itself is a great achievement.

If 185-190 is scored, it will seriously test the CSK bating lineup. The important thing here is to keep pushing towards a score without being a bit too cautious, which is something SRH always showed when batting first the tournament.

Anybody know about the pitch and how it's playing?

What a wicket to get at this time, KW was looking dangerous, very dangerous! Hopefully CSK can pull things back here now.

Those two overs at the death were gold but SRH has the fire bowling to get over this in a final. [HASHTAG]#GoGoTheOrangeArmy[/HASHTAG]

178 is pretty par score. Ngidi and Thakur pulled it back nicely in the 19th and 20th over. This could've easily been 190. 180 is at least a defendable total at a ground where CSK struggled to chase 139. This should be a cracker of a run chase. Really hope SRH stands up and bowls well to win IPL 2018.

Come on Orange Army!!!!

There is turn available for Rashid Khan but not the kind that we saw in Qualifier 1. For the seamers though, absolutely nothing on this pitch for them. I would expect Rashid, Shakib and maybe Hooda/Yusuf to bowl the bulk in the middle today.

179 to chase! A challenging total more so because this is THE final. Karn Sharma showed that the leggies can cause trouble and SRH have the best T20 leggie ever of current times! They need all that shock absorbent power to call on today.

CSK need to play quick from the start. I know wickets are important. But when Rashid Khan will come in runs from his 4 overs will be very difficult to get.

Don't want them to chase far too much at the end..

11 dot balls in 2 overs. Brilliant!!!! Only Bhuvi can do this.
