Indian Premier League - General Discussion

We should be able to defend this total surely. Get Shaw early and force Delhi to play slowly. Jadeja's overs could be key![DOUBLEPOST=1602950059][/DOUBLEPOST]
Bloody hell Jadeja, he needs to be the number five ahead of Dhoni in this type of form easily!

Seems Manjrekar called him as someone not suited to T20s yesterday on cricinfo. That explains his batting today. :lol

At one point, what looked like a 160+ score, became 179 due to Jadeja!! He was splendid with the bat. Connected like a champ!

Due credits to Rayudu (been his critic mostly). Today he showed every bit of intent and lifted CSK.

Hope the bowlers bowl to their potential and this can be won

This is why I've not advocated for Rayudu being dropped, when he's on song he is one of the few rare domestic batsmen who can hit boundaries in the middle overs and tackle the spinners. And the first match showed that his confidence was back.

That was a perfect ball to look at in slow motion. Started close to leg and moved middle in the air. Lovely bowling.

You can always expect that with Shaw - very much Sehwag-esque. If he clicks, the opposition will be left scratching their heads but he always keeps them interested.

That was great catch by Tewatia, if he misses that, we have different player name in ABD place...
For me Kohli is Class and ABD is a Mass hero... Full filmy...

LOL!

AB is not just a mass hero. He has played knocks and has a record people would die to have.

All I’ll say is, is that AB can do whatever VK can but it might not be that way when the shoe is on the other foot.

Us Indians have a lust for stats and the proof of it is the late 90’s and 00. Kallis was the greatest cricketer of that generation but Tendulkar is regarded as such.

Tendulkar would still stand out ahead of Kallis as a batsman. Tendulkar played a decade prior to Kallis and faced more deadly bowlers. Kallis the batsman won't win you games single handedly which Tendulkar would.

You're contradicting your own point there mate. Statistically, Kallis would be better.

Dhawan's been a lot better in the last two games ever since criticism of him for that rather slow fifty before that. Need to get him before he takes the game away from us!

Also, that Ricky Ponting interview was just gold! From Stoinis' expressions in the start, to Pant at the end! :lol

Did I just see Kedar Jadhav of all people fielding at long on?
