Indian Premier League - General Discussion

I can proudly say that I lived in the times when there played a mad-man called Suryakumar Yadav.
Let's not forget the original Mr.360 - ABD. Indeed ours is a lucky generation to see Sachin, Lara, Warne, Murali, Kallis, Akhtar, Lee, McGrath, Ambrose, Pollock, Steve Smith, Labuschange, Pant, Kohli, Malinga, Bumrah, Saqlain, Inzamam, Steyn, Dravid, Babar, Anwar, Andy Flower, Astle the list goes on and on.

You forgot to mention greats like Ashoke Dinda, Kamran Akmal and Shabbir Rehman

That first ball straight drive from Hardik Pandya was pure bliss.

To think Surya Kumar Yadav was once in KKR. I am glad he is just rocketing at the correct time.

GT to be dependent on Vijay Shankar is scary despite his decent outing this season.

Yeah! MI have handled him so well. I like this thing from MI that they spot the players and allow them to groom rather than axing them after few failures.

HUGE wicket! Brilliant bowling but quite unusually a nothing shot from Gill on a track that isn't bouncy especially against a shitty bowler.

I hope GT can take this in their stride and get back into the race for the cup again.

Brilliant batting that from Rashid Khan! From 103-8 chasing 219, Rashid got Gujarat to 191. He knows that GT are still at 16 pts and there could be a huge logjam of teams who could end up on 16 pts and NRR can come into the equation and so he ensured that Gujarat's NRR didn't take a gigantic hit. If Mumbai had won this by 90-100 runs, the NRR impact would have been massive (for both teams, on opposite sides).

Poor batting from their top order today. Even if Miller or Tewatia had waited a few more overs, the ball was literally a soap towards the end (there was one slow-mo replay where the water off the ball was literally looking like it was a sprinkler) and along with Rashid, they would have taken Gujarat home. Credit to Mumbai for consistently picking up wickets to not let dew be a factor.

My God what hitting from Rashid! If only one of the batsmen had hung in there. Though GT lost, he made a game out of nothing.

Sky: 103 off 49.

Rashid: 4/30 including a stunning catch and 79 off 32.

Not many times we see these sort of performances and still one of them not get man of the match.
