Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Apart from dew I think another thing that will come later into the play is the pitches.

Very slow & low pitches might counter the dew factor out of the game.

A pitch similar to MI-SRH low scoring game where MI lost in 2018 if I am not wrong kind of pitches we will most likely to see in the future weeks.

To be fair it does when it's Hooda bowling in the death overs.
Spinners more difficult to grip the ball & hence can for plenty.

Remember Rashid Khan saying he practices with the wet ball to get used to the dew conditions.

Guess people have to find a way out to counter dew.

Was this a first ? ;)

Vijay Shankar at 3? I mean, my heart sank when I saw him come out to bat. Yes, he may have done well for TN in the longer formats, but he is found wanting at the international stage.

Pandey- I think he will get more chances here and hope that he proves his detractors wrong. I love watching the guy at and was surprised that SRH didnt actually go after him, especially since he captained their last 2 games. I do see him as a potential future LSG captain shortly though.

Can someone just ask Rahul Dravid as to what good he sees in KL Rahul's captaincy? I really fear that India is going to get hurt a lot if he's made the full time captain in future! He's just pathetic as captain.

You see, KLR is playing for a franchisee, whose owner is known to sack the best of captains. It wont be long-perhaps mid-season that KLR is sacked and replaced by Manish Pandey. I believe one of the terms for KLR coming on board was the captaincy issue (just like Shreyas Iyer). LSG might have given in to it at that time, but would rue this decision sooner.

For the love of Indian cricket I hope Iyer wins the IPL with KKR.

The bloke is a born leader has sense of calmness around him & rallies his troops well.

Andre Russell was full of praises for him before the last game.

Umran Malik needs guidance, not match ready yet imo.

That was a good 6th over by T Natarajan under pressure

I think that's what you get with raw talents, he's bowled quite well for a few matches last season and the more game time he gets, he may just become better.
