Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Lord Saini is well and truly back.

Rajasthan look more solid than last season where they were runners up. With the kind of all round quality that they have and led by a sound captain/coach (Samson-Sangakkara), expecting them to be harder to beat this season.

Poor start this from Mumbai! But well.... the opening game for Mumbai in any IPL season is always a trial game for them, isn't it? :lol:D

This is the Chinnaswamy where even mishits sail so comfortably for sixes. Its truly ridiculous that Mumbai posted just 171 at this ground. This game could be over with 3 overs to spare.

CSK fans seeing the way Faf is playing - :facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm

It has all fallen apart for Rohit Sharma since the 2020 IPL.

His captaincy has been put to test time and again in the last 3 years or so.

Tilak Verma is a player.

Hope he goes onto represent India at the highest level and does well there too.

I think their decision to release Hardik Pandya (or if he wanted to be released in order to captain Gujarat) probably cost them a huge lot. If Hardik was retained, he gives them a solid floater in the middle order, a guy who can bowl crucial overs and take imp wickets and also a proper captaincy material. Mumbai Indians did not see the captaincy potential in Hardik and chose a much older Suryakumar Yadav over Hardik. I would be hugely surprised if Hardik chose to leave, because Mumbai like Chennai is another franchise that players love to be with and wouldnt want to leave due to the environment (and who would want to leave the Ambani owned team :lol)

Too early to say that. Though he's been very good for Mumbai, international cricket is a different ball game altogether.
