But surly you should have the respect to leave the players alone who are already contracted!!

As soon as this IPL is over, the better!

Hodge had a choice. He is where your blame/anger should be going, not the IPL.

That's where I think you are wrong.

I am blaming Hodge, but also Directing some of it at the IPL, of being so obnoxious and approaching Hodge once the season had started over here, If they would have approached him before the season, Fair enough, but its just dam right rude after the season has started.

IpL did not contacted the players. They contacted IPL.

Wrong. And here is proof:

Speaking on the situation Brad Hodge said: “I was approached only 24-48 hours ago and I’m still in shock at the opportunity that has been presented. Twenty20 is a format that I really enjoy and have a good record in, and to be part of the inaugural IPL tournament is something most cricketers would find hard to turn down.

So stop trying to play innocent. Well? What have you got to say about that??

I hope Albie plays, but unfortunately, I can't see him replacing anyone other than Oram, but he was Man of the Match last time, so I doubt that happening.

Oram is leaving.

Even Lancashire agreed to it, man. His Lancs' contract was put on hold.

Would a player rather play in an inaugural tournament of the caliber of the IPL, where the best players in the world blend with the most talented Indian Cricketers then some one dimensional league in England?

Having a contract does not mean that you are unapproachable by any means. Whenever you grow up and get a job you will find that you will be offered jobs by other companies even when you are in the middle of a contract. Most contracts have clauses that prevent them from being terminated without a certain notification period or for some financial remuneration, but it seems as if Hodge's contract wasn't terminated.

Getting back on topic -

I think this is the best wicket we've seen so far in the tournament. It's offering assistance to the bowlers, but it's not impossible to bat.

I think Dhoni got it wrong at the toss.

Raina is batting well, as usual.

Balls are flying in the air but none are going to hand!

I'm a Chennai fan but I'm viewing this game neutrally. I want Dravid to do well.

BRC should win today. But its looking highly unlikely.

Symonds party though spoilt first by Warnie and then by Gilly.

Im not talking about the contract... Im talking about the Lack of respect from the IPL, If they wanted Hodge to play, they should have contacted him weeks BEFORE the english League started... Not when some of the most crucial games are coming up.

Thats all im saying, im saying im annoyed that once a league is started, they can flash the cash and take away our valuable team player.

Lack of respect.

I think Ponting had role in Hodge signing for Knigh Riders.

What an innings from MS Dhoni!

Simple muscled, massacred his way through the bowlers and got a good score for Chennai on a good pitch.

What a Six!

Dhoni is finally playing like Dhoni in IPL.

With Hayden, Hussey and Oram gone CSK will be beatable. But Mohali will suffer most with Lee gone. Now Sree will be certain in all games :(

Wheres Pomersbach? Tom why are you hiding him.
