And take that RR has now moved on 1st place on Table.
Hell RR was once a most underrated Team.

Honestly I was counting them weakest team of the tournament after Mumbai and Deccan a Strongest team of the Tournament. And Now I am Glad by RR..Bravo...

All credits to Warnie. He has been unbelievable.

I agree, we desperately need Huss and Haydo. Top order looks ordinary without them. We were expecting Morkel and Ntini to strengthen our attack, even though Ntini has done a decent job, on current form, our bowling is pathetic.

Definitely, presence of Hayden has made a huge difference. I really wonder, why we have Parthiv Patel in our team still. And regarding our bowling, we have only two specialist bowlers of good standards - Ntini and Murali. Other than these two, I don't see any other options. Goni could be brought up though with someone teaching some more techniques.

Other than Morkel, I don't see any other aggressive perfect T20 batsmen either. :p Chennai team needs Hayden badly. I can see this team also rusting like Kolkata team :p

Kolkata team under Sourav's captaincy is going into even more pathetic situation. Also presence/absence of Ponting make no difference too. T20 is for boiling young blood.. I really wonder what these guys like Sourav, Sanath, Sachin, Dravid, Laxman blah blah are doing here. Thankfully, Sachin didn't play a game still :) Inspite of me being a deep hearted Sachin fan, I don't want to see Sachin playing this T20 format.. because this isn't a format which suits him.. Thats why I still believe ICL has far far better intensions of giving more exposure to young kids than IPL.

Exactly as I have said i don't want to see Sachin playing for Mumbai.
I never wants Sachin to play in this type of useless tournament for money rather I love to see him in Tests against Aussis.
India needs him more than Mumbai does.

Delhi will bounce back and will improve themselves, good to have setback at an early stage, this would make Delhi even tougher. But Mumbai played very well, this was their best performance so far, Sachin will strengthen it even further and the win today will Motivate immensely whole team including Sachin as they have started winning. Any team can afford to lose max. 6 games, to be on safe side 5 games. Hope Mumbai will continue this sort of effort.

Delhi was unlucky with de Villiers run out and rather more Complacent, but nothing can be taken away from Mumbai.

On the other match, I expected Rajasthan to win, they are on very good run, but one bad Match will ruin them and they'll break down, perhaps next match. But Warne is the key, only if he can keep the confidence up and keep them on the ground.

Chennai, need to fix their batting instead of bowling, they can do well with their current bowling but they need to have some sort of score on the board, without Hayden and Hussey, lack of experience is showing. .They are very weak in batting now. .and very much prone to Collapse.

Most Likely teams to do in next few games should be- Delhi, Bangalore, Rajasthan and Mumbai

I'll be very surprise if they lose their next matches :)

Sachin is not playing for money, Sachin just wanted to be involved with this format of the game, as he loves cricket no matter what format it is. Why pointing to any player that they're playing this for Money. They didn't say give me xx crores, or i won't play, atleast sachin.

Bro, Sachin is legend and I am very sure he is playing this because he loves Cricket and for the pride of Mumbai. Sachin would have played also if he wasn't paid for sure. It is a great treat for players to get involved with youngsters and other players. It is not sachins fault that he is getting money.

Also anything that is growing rapidly will have more money involved to the players or employees . .instead of fact that they deserve it more than anybody else or not.
For instance, doctors in india are underpaid . .compared to mba's etc. .but no one can deny that who deserves more money.
mba's are getting more money only because the IT sector is rapidly growing. Same is for Cricket.

I'm probably a few hours late, But hats off to Sohail Tanvir! :hpraise

Nice Post Arunava.:)
I did not mean that Sachin is playing for money but my point was that I don't want Sachin to play in this tournament (which has commercial Moto only) rather I love to see him playing in internationals for India.

It is understandable concern, as groin injuries like adductor tears and osteitis pubis are very hard to shake. If you want to see him playing Tests, he absolutely has to be 100% fit, because anything less might see the injury recurr.

Well I think Sachin is showing his priorities by not trying to rush back into fitness and play half-fit. That, more than anything, shows that he is looking at his career after the IPL rather than the money to be made from the tournament.

Stephen Fleming has proved to be a lame replacement for the CSK.

I think the Chennai Super Kings are in danger now of losing all their remaining matches unless Dhoni finds some kind of a strategy with the bowling department otherwise there's just too much pressure on the batsmen.

The first four matches were won purely by the batting prowess of Hayden and Hussey, and now that we've lost the bulk of the batting strength, it appears to be one of the weakest teams in the IPL what with the foriegn players not pushing their weight.

However, I'm still hoping that Dhoni's captaincy will prevail. We still have a long way to go :D

so much for dhoni keeping his cool :p....
you wont win low scoring matches with defensive tactics !

hats off to warne !! the most underrated team emerging as the
best of the lot......! why on earth didnt he captain the australian
side ?? is it ONLY because of his off-field controversies ??

I tell you again, when a team collectively fails, it's extremely tough to come back as a captain.

Defending 110 was an impossibility unless the opposition committed hara-kiri.

I agree that Dhoni does get a bit defensive when the going gets tough, but he will learn a lot from these experiences and I still have faith in his abilities.

Honestly, the tournaments an overkill. They could divide the 8 teams into groups or 4 each, that would work out better. This is way too long.

weird shots, dead pitches and all the slam bam !

over 250 sixes hit already in the tournament

And also over 700 fours ;)

Not even halfway through the tournament yet. All the teams have one more game before they've played everyone else once.

I suppose everyone can just shut their TV's off for May and catch the action again in June!
