Thats actually there third warm up ML. But there first win of the 3.
Checked it. There were some great write ups that cut out all the bull **** and got to the point directly. I will be following it regularly from now on.Yeh, I had a 5 hour Intensive Fast Bowling coaching course (check the "Your Cricket" section), and he mentioned Atul quite a few times, he is definitely the genuine article, and not some internet hoax. He showed one of the lads a video of him bowling, but I didn't get chance to see it. He's going to be genuinely quick though, just not sure he'll bowl that 108 mph full toss, might kill the batsman, if it doesn't miss him completely.
He is an olympic quality athlete TRUE
He can run a 4.0 40m NOT TRUE
He has a top speed of 108mph NOT TRUE (and frankly laughable)
He can be accurate in the mid nineties TRUE
He has a great yorker WORKING ON IT
He can swing the ball both ways TRUE
He runs sideon to the crease ONLY AT THE END
He hasn't played a game of cricket for seven years TRUE
He has bowled a ball at around 100 mph in practice and has a hand release speed approaching 105 (104,8) but we don't know what that equates to in MPH on a speed gun.
This was also just one ball at this speed in a 3 year period.
He can run 40 yards in 4 seconds (flying start which means he is already running) but this has nothing to do with his bowling speed. It's merely to explain that he's an athlete rather than a cricketer.
I don't wish to enter into a discussion here but there is so much stupid hype about Atul and posters will only think that everything is untrue. He's strongly built and has a great ground speed, as you expect from a sprinter. But that's it. He has bowled the odd ball at very high speed IN TRAINING but that's it.
I have no idea with The Royals will do with Atul, or if he will even play a game for them.
Bowling fast and straight in a match is something completely different to bowling in nets with no batsman.
Everyone needs to be sensible about this guy. He has raw pace and can deliver a ball with a tail on it into the batter, sometimes away. But he is still learning. He's not finished by any means. Give the guy a break.
Anyone got a link to todays Rajasthan Royals warm-up game?
