He also was successful with some gritty knocks(including a crucial 64*) and paired up with Dhoni to guide us home.He dint have many chances. He mostly batted at 4 or 5 down.
Will have some good bat this season.
CSK Ftw!

Looking forward to seeing Matthew Hayden toil up this competition once again. Last year he was the be-all and end-all for the Chennai Superkings - They were unstoppable in his presence but failed miserably when Hayden returned to International duties.

CSK ended runners-up inspite of Hayde's absence. He is an asset this time since he is there fully, but he is not the "be-all and end-all".

I should say that you are a Hayden fanatic even at the cost of being sensible. You eat, sleep and breathe Hayden. Have you ever met him? Maybe you should!

only 3 days remaining to start the season ;)
praying every day for KKR.
and our Ganguly is in super form :happy

Now I will admit, KKR does look a bit weak if compared to others.

Why?

1. We are getting Chris Gayle for just 12 days, after that only the Almighty knows who will open for us. *Sigh*

2. Same with David Hussey. If the Aus-Pak tour happens, he will depart after just 12/13 days.

3. Ganguly is not totally fit. He has got high-fever.

4. Wriddhi Saha, our first keeper has receicved an injury in a practice match, and will only be available after 3/4 weeks when the tournament will be almost finished.

5. There is no unity between the captain and the coach.

6. As of now, it is still not clear who will be our captain.

7. Our pace bowling department is the weakest if compared to the other teams. We have just Ishant and Langeveldt.

8. And the most shocking news, KKR officials have confirmed that Ajit Agarkar will play in each and every match. :( God save us.

I don't know what we will do in this year's IPL. I'm really worried about KKR.

Agarkar has a superb pace and a lot of variations. His only problem is that he bowls atleast 2 loose balls in a over.Hes a fool.Could have been one of the best bowlers now if he had found solution for this.

Kaif's been sent home for the Royals, interesting for them to cut someone that cost them over $500'000 last season. If he's not performing then it's fair enough though. Apparently Atul Sharma's been kept on as well, maybe Warne could be getting ready to unleash him midway through the tournament?

Kaif had a God-awful 2008 IPL but I never expected him to be axed.

I saw the highlights of the Kings XI Punjab's match against the Eagles. The fielding was disgusting to say the least, misjudged catches, not getting down, not diving, really disappointing. There bowling wasn't bad and batting ok but not something to write home about. I sure hope for there sakes, the players still to come will play better them how they played today. Maybe Yuvraj can teach them how to field.

Out of interest, how did VRV Singh bowl. I know he took 4/24, but was he bowling quickly and that probing line or were the wickets gifted?

Well all it was, was an hour long show that showed the highlights and I missed the first 3-4 overs but all the wickets were "slog" shots. He kept it quite tight to build up the pressure to get the first and his death bowling was a lot better than the rest of the team. His pace wasn't blistering but he kept his line right most of the time.

He bowled nicely and was really the only bowler who looked to trouble the batsman, too many military medium pacers and average spinners. He probably could have gotten better figures if all the catches were take.

One last thing, the bowlers lacked discipline, twice different bowlers got 2 No balls in a row and there was something like 7 no balls in the innings.

KKR still havnt signed any paper works with Masrafe. so unprofessional. i wont be shocked if they make him play and not pay him according to the bid money :mad
