I don't think Tendulkar will ever be able to get close to The Don's average, though. :P I think this poll sets about an unfair comparison, at least in my eyes, because most of the people here have not actually watched Sunny batting live (due to age and lack of television). Thus, I cannot really choose a person here, although I selected the option Dravid/Gavaskar.

rahul dravid is the best, coz he has got centuries in every country and against every country.
give him any kind of pitch he is the one, u can be rest assured will score runs.

Very hard to decide between Dravid and Gavaskar....
I have seen many highlights of Gavaskar batting and the bowlers he had to face in those days and to have a record that he ended up with is just awesome and he didn't have the luxury of playing against weak teams like Zim and Bangladesh that are in the test arena today.....

But in saying that Dravid has won India many matches in the last few years and India have him to thank for their equal 2nd ranking in ICC table......He has proven in the past years that he is capable of playing well on any wicket under any condition.

So its very hard to determine between the 2
