Was Dennis Lillee really that great?

Impossible to say who was the best bowler ever, but Lillee was great + a contender for best fast bowler ever
True he never proved himself in subcontinent but 3 tests in Pak when he was past his best on pitches prepared to counter him doesnt really settle the issue.
Who else has bowled proper leg cutters (not just relying on hitting the seam) at pace? Stats wise, as others have argued if WSC and his matches against Rest of the World are taken into account he is then right up there

I guess Lillee has one thing in common with Bradman- a great record in only 2 countries, Australia and England. Obviously in Bradman's case his record was twice as good as anyone but Lillee was just I guess 'usual' in his stats, it wasnt like he averaged 14 in Australia or something. Even with players I hugely love I have to admit when they are somewhat home bullies, I loved and love watching Lillee bowl, and he was a fine bowler no doubt, but I can see why people outside of Australia would question his status, especially when guys like Imran were seriously good in flat conditions, like McGrath was too. The other factor is Lillee's presence and overall bowling nature- he was a colossal drawcard, McGrath is probably the best fast bowler we have produced but he was nowhere near as exciting as watching Lillee, you know the scene- the crowd going nuts watching a tearaway fast guy charge in, that sort of thing wasnt really happening with McGrath, or maybe just to a lesser extent.
