R.S : This has been a fantastic bowling display by Windies and they bounced back right into the game... We have one of the batting legend,Sunil Gavaskar with us to discuss about the after lunch session for few minutes. Well Sunil, this has been a terrific bowling display..what do u think about it?


S.G : yep Ravi, its after a long time I am seeing a competitive cricket from Windies... Noone expected them to bounce back into this game..Everyone including myself thought India woud easily make a match after that healthy lead of 124 runs . But i should say, it was extremely a gud cricket from Lara and his team...


R.S : Do u think India was overconfident when they went into bat in third innings?


S.G : Actually to some extent they were, becos the way that Sehag got out was absolutely a suicide...There was no need for him to go in air at that time..But the bowlers played well than the batsmen... Sachin and Yuvraj found difficult to score runs... So majority of the credits to the bowlers for their exceptional bowling performance.


R.S : Speaking about the variety of dismissals, Sachin,Dhoni and Dravi... they were all out to a good delivery..but Jaffer and Sehwag were suicides..isnt it?


S.G : Sachin's one was the best way of tricking him making him to play and utilising his weekness... I ve seen him doing the same in Australia against Mcgrath.... So this has been a delivery for years troubling Sachin... And Dhoni's one was unfortunate... He never expected to get an inside edge... As i said already, bowlers outsmarted the batsmen.


R.S : What do think of Jaffer's footwork?


S.G : well, he has to do lot of homeworks on this He was dismissed due to lack of footwork in first innings and the same thing happening here.... So he has to do somethng extraordinary to keep his place in the team.


R.S : Well Sunil, as usual i m going to ask the same question, Where is the match going towards?

S.G : That has been a clueless so for... Currently the contest is till on, as Pathan can bat well..Remember, he is a developing allrounder..So if Pathan and Yuvraj can turn the things around in the last session, Windies will be in trouble.. If Windies can wind up the tail within today, Windies are sure to be in driver's seat... So it depends on the last session coming up...Also it was a good day for the bolwers so for... The bowlers have picked 10 wickets in two session.. So the next session is going to be interesting... If they pick another 5 wickets..India is definitely in trouble.... So from the current position, match can turn anways....

SOME GOOD START AFTER TEA!!!

India went to Tea extremely disappointed with their performance... The only specialised batsman left at the crease was Yuvraj supported by a developing allrounder Pathan. Lara's strategies are working very perfectly... The tea time ends and all the players came out of the dressing room following the umpires!!! The crowd support for India was not that great like the past two days..Infact many seats were found empty!!! But Windies supports have increased now...The umpire asked the bowler to resume the play after Tea.

YUVRAJ TAKING THE CONTROL OVER THE BOWLERS!!!

Yuvraj had a clear intension to go at the bowlers... He had a long chat with Pathan and told the strategy clearly to be watchful. Hinds and Lawson were operated in one end,. Hinds was taken off soon and Bravo was introduced. Some steady start of taking singles was maintained first two overs. Then Lawson was bowling to Yuvraj. Yuvraj started his attack from this over of Lawson.... The first ball of that over was punished for the boundary...It was a typical Yuvraj shot on offside. The second delivery was bowled a little short but was also smashed for four and it was a beautiful backfoort drive.

It was followed by two dot balls and the fifth ball was bowled... Yuvraj came went high in the air in straight as there was noone in straight.. It went for another boundary and single was taken in the last ball!!! Similarly Lawson in his next over tried a bouncer but was pulled away for the four!!!

Yuvraj Singh is punishing Lawson after tea like Sachin punished Hinds in the first innings!!!

YUVRAJ DOING A RESCUE ACT!!!

Lawson is having a tough time now with the ball against Yuvraj. Well Yuvraj is showing his natural talent now and trying to rescue India from the early losses... Now Lara has to move cleverly to get this dangerman becos Yuvraj has the great talent of rescuing the team...But some sort of confidence is found with this pair after tea!!!

But still loads of work to do for both the team... and the bat slightly gaining upperhand over the ball... The contest is growing bigger with more twists and turns.....

INDIA CROSSES 100 WITH A RUNOUT APPEAL!!!

Well, the good patrnership is building between Pathan and Yuvraj... Lara got bit frustrated with this pair... Yuvi taking the key reponsibility role and Pathan playing a great support role... India has finally crossed 100 run mark with a great appeal from Windies players for a runout of Yuvraj singh.

YuvrajSingh wanting the strike ran himself to the danger end... Lara picked it clean and had a good throw at the stumps!!! Ramdin took the bails off quickly and there was a huge shout... The decision went to third umpire.. But Yuvi was confident that he was safe... After taking several glances at the replay, the umpire finally gave it NOTOUT.

Infact till now, there is a great understanding between these two in running between the wickets!!!! This partnership is about to reach 50!!! This is really making Lara to press the Panic button!!! India crossed the 100 runs with lot of struggles right from the start of this innings!!!

YUVRAJ REACHES 50 IN STYLE!!!​

Yuvraj and Pathan are playing extremely well... They seem to be well settled now. Lara as usual started his experiments with the bowling changes!!! He stopped Lawson and brough Hinds.. But nothing affected this pair!!! He immediately stopped Hinds and brought Gayle. But in the other end, Bravo was operating continuosly!!! This pair is doing a superb recovery act from the worst early damages!!!

YUVRAJ PROUD OF HIS HALF CENTURY...

Yuvraj reached 49 and faced Bravo. Bravo delivered a overpitched delivery that was smashed by Yuvraj for a boundary.... He brought his half century in a style with that four!!! The coach and others in the dressing room stood up and cheered him... He was very much proud to get a half century!!! He really worked hard for it and he deserve it!!!

FANS RESTARTED THEIR MUSIC!!!

With the increase in the entertainment with this pair, Indian fans restarted their music...Infact the people who had left the stadium started coming and celebrating Yuvi's half century with Indian flags flying!!! So again the atmosphere luks great... Also there is slight frustration in Windies side!!! This partnership has been a very crucial one for India and Yuvi's fifty also coming in a crucial time....

INDIA GOING STRONGER AND STRONGER!!!

This pair is going superbly at the moment and as a reult India is strengthening its lead further... This session is going in favour of batsmen... Yuvraj playing a superb rescue role well supported by Pathan. Both are playing a well matured innings!!! Gayle and Bravo are the two bowlers operated by Lara. Chris Gayle as usual is bowling superbly with his tight line and length. Gayle tried to trap Pathan for a LBW in one of his over!!!

HUGE APPEAL BY GAYLE BUT UMPIRE REMAINED UNMOVED!!!

Gayle bolwed a beautiful delivery... He pitched marginally outside the line and Pathan tried to sweep it off but was decieved at the end... And the ball struck his pads... There was a huge shout from the bowler but the umpire stood still... Windies players got disappointed and Gayle cannot believe his eyes and laughed at the batsman and umpire while returning back to his place!!!!

MARGINALLY OUTSIDE & SEEMS TO BE A GOOD DECISION...

The replay showed that the umpire's decision was excellent... It was marginally missing the legstump... Well its tough to get a accurate decision these days and umpires often make mistakes... But in this case, technology proved that umpire gave an excellent decision. If that wud have gone in favour of bolwers then India wud have been in trouble... Well Lara was excited for a while but was back to his business the next ball!!!

PATHAN's REPLY TO GAYLE!!!

The very next ball, Gayle bowled, Pathan smashed him on the half side to a wonderful boundary.... This was a sweet revnge from Pathan.. Well, the bolwer had a long stare at Pathan and Pathan laughed at Gayle...It was a sarcastic smile from Pathan... Indian fans in the arena are jumping now with joy and playing nonstop music!!! But Lara was frustrated a bit. But these things generally happens in cricket....

So India has recovered by this pair and just 30 minutes more for the Day3 to end and a good thing to India is that they did not loose even a single wicket in this session... But the bowlers are trying for a wicket every delivery they bowl!!! So the contest still remains between the bowlers and the batsmen.

i made the whole batsman invisible and this(wht i tried) is the oldest pattern of displaying LBW used before Dartfish was introduced... Even now ESPNfollows i suppose.. so i m reviving the old technology:

Regarding the ball position, both are the same screens but captured at differnt time!!! So they are correct screens!!! First picture in the first screen shows Gayle is still in action and the ball is about to hit the pads...and second picture in that screen shows the appealing action where the ball has struck exactly!!! :happy
