Truly brilliant work mate and this is easily the best ever story on this forums beating those other 3. Their stories were brilliant but this one is a lot better.

Shaz & Waz Show ~ Match Analysis!
shazwazbannermf9.jpg

( With Ravi Shastri and Wasim Akram )

shastriiw7.jpg
: Hello and welcome back to Johannesburg for this post match show, " Shaz and Waz" show. We have with us, the legendary left arm fast bowler, Mr. Wasim Akram to share all the views with us regarding today's match.

wasimam3.jpg
: Hello everyone. We will be discussing everything that has happened today.. but remember, everything in brief.. as we just have short amount of time left with us before the presentation ceremony!

shastriiw7.jpg
: Yes, We will be catching that too in later part of this segment. So Wasim, India came fighting from nowhere all of a sudden and managed to pull a victory! Only few would have expected this to happen. What about you, Wasim?

wasimam3.jpg
: You mean.. Pulling a Bunny from a empty hat? :p Well, after watching the way SouthAfricans played, I did expect a high scoring game but never expected this to come so close though. Especially after Pollock and Steyn had their great initial spell. It was a great fought back. The way Yuvraj was smashing the ball all over the ground.. the way, young debutant Sharma played.. Everything was wonderful to watch.

shastriiw7.jpg
: Especially, on that particular mention of Sharma, what a debut he had today!!! This should be an unforgettable entry to his international career. His attitude impressed me. Did you carry such an attitude, Wasim during your initial periods with Pakistan? ;)

wasimam3.jpg
: :laugh I always had a belief in my ownself. Self belief is what each and every player should posses to shine consistently. Don't care what others criticize you.. with confidence and self belief, you always tend to reach the great heights. And yes, as you mentioned Ravi, the attitude of Sharma in today's game was outstanding. All he needs now is proper guidance. He is definitely to come up as a star player.

shastriiw7.jpg
: SouthAfricans were in control when they were batting.. SouthAfricans were in complete control when they had the new ball... Then it was a brilliant fought back from Yuvraj and Sharma in the end.. Even in the last delivery which was fielded exceptionally well by Smith made SA to draw this game. Then came the climax, Bowl-Out! What is your opinion on this new bowl out, Wasim?

wasimam3.jpg
: When we played cricket, we didn't have all these. Infact the whole Twenty20 is a new format now. Coming to bowl-out, who ever the bowler may be, had to forget his bad memories he had that day and has to focus only on three stumps.. This is completely a tense moment for any bowler. This is where accuracy plays a major role. I enjoyed watching it though. Thankfully, we didn't have these formats. :D

shastriiw7.jpg
: :laugh Regarding this bowl out, we have a small recap of what happened today!

Bowl-Out : India(4) : (1)SA ~ A Small Recap!

bowloutcomparisonbs9.gif

wasimam3.jpg
: It did suprise me when SouthAfrican bowlers just managed to strike the stumps only once. Pollock, one of the bowling legends, revealed his class. But the other two, Botha and Kallis were disappointing. As a captain, you don't want anything frustrating than this.

shastriiw7.jpg
: Yes, thats very much disappointing to entire SA team.. especially the SA fans. This was where Indians outsmarted the hosts to maximum extent. Sehwag, Murali, Zaheer and Sree were brilliant.. They didn't even missed once. ;)

wasimam3.jpg
: Of those four, Zaheer's delivery towards the stumps impressed me. It would have been wicket taking delivery, even if the batsman had been there.

shastriiw7.jpg
: A Left arm bowler impresses another left arm bowler. :p Ok now, its time for us to take you back to the stadium for presentation ceremony with Holding.

Match Presentation.

prestitleku2.jpg

M.H : Thank you, Ravi! Well, ladies and gentleman, welcome to the final presentation ceremony. It was a great game of cricket overall with both the teams fighting for their win and finally India made its first Twenty20 Win at very first match.

M.H : Now lets, go to the match presentation. I would first like to call SouthAfrican Captain, Smith to have few words with us.

G.Smith, SouthAfrican Skipper.

smithpresiq4.jpg

M.H : Tough Luck, Smith! Where did you think that your team has lost its control over the game?

smithai8.jpg
: Well, they did play better cricket than us in the end. Yes, we did have the control over the game initially. We just let that slip away from our hands in the middle when Yuvraj was hitting all around. Then, I thought that Jacques did pretty well with the ball but we slipped the momentum completely in final overs.

M.H : Did you think that the total was enough to defend? or you felt that you should have added more after looking at the pitch?

smithai8.jpg
: Not really.. We have no worries with the way our batsman performed today. It was just the few moments where we lost the control and it costed us the entire game in the end.

M.H : And regarding the bowl out?

smithai8.jpg
: This is the first time we are exposed to this bowl out.. It looked entirely a different system. Just able to realize how accurate the bowler should be. :p Anyways, bad memories are there to forget and we should get ready to play them with fresh mindset.

M.H : Good Luck, Smith for the next game and Thanks for coming here.

smithai8.jpg
: No problems and Thank you. :)

M.H : Now, the winning captain.. OfCourse, this is his first captaincy.. I like to call M.S.Dhoni to have few words with us please!

M.S.Dhoni, Indian Captain.

dhonipresav3.jpg

M.H : Congrads Dhoni.. How was your first job? :p

dhoniof4.jpg
: Thanks.. Well, it was really a tough job and plenty of things to learn. And yes, we are glad that we managed to win this game. Rohit and Yuvi restored the balance which was lost while bowling. Viru, Murali, Zaheer and Sree maintained the momentum in bowl out as well. Overall, a great game of cricket.

M.H : How is this going to help for the upcoming games?

dhoniof4.jpg
: It will definitely raise our confidence level. Especially some good signs from both Yuvi and Rohit who weren't exposed to SouthAfrican conditions during the test series. It should be a cracking contest ahead with Sachin, Sourav and Rahul back in the side.

M.H : Well, hope the fighting spirit continues the same in upcoming games as well. Good luck!

dhoniof4.jpg
: Thank You. :)

M.H : Now the final award.. Man Of the Match. We had many outstanding performances today. Especially the fireworks of Yuvraj and thrilling finish from Rohit Sharma in the end. It was tough to choose between these two.. and finally we decided, its none other than Yuvraj Singh for this MOTM, who restored the lost balance and gave hopes for victory when the team was in complete trouble. So Yuvraj, Can you come to the stage to collect your award and have few words with us please!

Yuvraj Singh, MOTM.

yuvipresko3.jpg

M.H : Congrads Yuvraj. The way you batted today was magnificent to watch. How do you feel this thriller?

yuvidl0.jpg
: Its great! :) Especially, when everyone must have thought that we would loose, we fought back well and made it the end. Ball was coming on to the bat very nicely which triggered me. And hence took the risk of going over the bowlers though the team was in trouble. I am glad that it ended up well. Rohit also did an exceptional job in finishing the thriller. It was a great game of cricket like what both the captains referred this game.

M.H : When you got out, did you think that India will win?

yuvidl0.jpg
: In this new format of Twenty20, the things have proved that we can expect any result. I was just disappointed to leave the team at that stage but later, was jumping around after seeing those boundaries in the end overs. :D

M.H : Well, good luck in remaining games as well and hope to see you jumping more. ;)

yuvidl0.jpg
: Thank you and sure, I will try my best. :)

M.H : So, that concludes our presentation ceremony. Hope you all enjoyed it. We will be back again in the next game between these two and it's a 3 Match ODI series. Till then, Take care and bye. And it's time to resume it back to Ravi.

Shaz & Waz Show ~ Continuation!
shazwazbannermf9.jpg

( With Ravi Shastri and Wasim Akram )

shastriiw7.jpg
: Thanks Holding. And once again welcome back to Waz & Shaz show after the presentation. We are still left with little time. And Wasim, do you think Yuvraj was better choice for MOTM inspite of Rohit's heroics?

wasimam3.jpg
: Its tough to decide, Ravi! It has neither Yuvraj's game nor Rohit's game. With 4 hits from 4 in bowl-out, this has been a complete team game. I feel that the entire team deserves the Men of The Match and not just Man of the Match. :D

shastriiw7.jpg
: Had to agree that it's not a one man victory but its a team's victory. Also, we have a little stats on Rohit Sharma,

Rohit Sharma's Heroic Debut!

sharmawwheelbj3.jpg

wasimam3.jpg
: That's impressive as well.. i.e, his ability to score runs in all sides. His attitude, as I mentioned earlier, was outstanding. I am sure, he had won many people's heart today. :)

shastriiw7.jpg
: This means, the job for selectors is going to be more complicated. ;) Also, when you mentioned his attitude, I also go with you. Because, he arrived at the crease at the last moment.. Very little time to think..Very little time to react.. Exposed to quality bowlers like Kallis, Steyn and Pollock in last overs.. And the job which he did today was brilliant. :hpraise

wasimam3.jpg
: Lets hope that he doesn't loose the track after being placed on the right one. It happens to new players in general. It has happened to few Pakistan players.. It has happened to Indian players.. It generally happens. So, all he need is a proper guidance from here.

shastriiw7.jpg
: Wasim, Its time to conclude our show.. We have already taken five minutes extra I guess. ;) Your final opinion on upcoming ODI series?

wasimam3.jpg
: Definitely, its going to be a cracking contest. I feel, May the best team on that day wins! :) It can be either promising India or Mighty looking South Africa!

shastriiw7.jpg
: Yes, no doubts that its going to be a huge contest. Lets see what happens.

shastriiw7.jpg
: So, Thats all from the studio. Hope everyone enjoyed this coverage. We will bring you all the actions LIVE again for the next match, which is the first ODI between India and SouthAfrica. Till then, Stay Tuned and Take care. Bye from the studio. :)

wasimam3.jpg
: Bye everyone. :)
