Poor Poor Poor batting display by India. SA bowled those yorkers brilliantly to get rid of most of the Indian batsmen. SA are winning this match comfortably. Hey wait a close finish will be there
Really poor batting display from India, the middle order showed no fight and thats where the innings crashed. India need to start well with the ball, but it looks nowhere near enough and South Africa are firm favourites.

India Vs SA,First ODI ~ Analysis Show
( With Ravi Shastri and Wasim Akram )
: Hello and a welcome back to this Show, "Waz and Shaz" where we do have Wasim Akram with us as usual to have the discussions of this first innings of the first ODI match.
: Well Wasim, what is running in your mind after seeing the Indian batting performance?
: It's really a poor batting display from Indians today. Pitch predicted a high scoring game.. as Hard and flat pitch always helps batsmen. But today, I was taken by surprise after seeing this performance!
: Also, we cannot deny that their bowling was of top class at the same time. With yourself being the one of the greatest bowlers of all times, how do you rate today's SA bowling?
: The teams like Australia, SouthAfrica, England and Kiwis, most of the times, come out with great bowling performances in their home grounds. These are the conditions which we subcontinent players tend to struggle a bit to adjust and bat accordingly. Except Tendulkar & Dravid, no one had that patience to adjust and tune themselves accordingly.
: Both Tendulkar & Dravid definitely should have known this factor from their cricketing experience. We also saw another experienced batsman, Sourav trying to stay rooted for long time. And in other end, youngsters remained impatient.
: In particular, batsmen like Dhoni and Yuvraj had to shoulder these responsibilities and play a matured game considering future of their cricket in the minds.
: Also Wasim, another common thing we noticed with some Indian players( especially Dravid and Sourav ), running between the wickets is not that good enough.
Running Flaw from Indian Batsmen!
When will players like Dravid learn to ground their bats while running rather than trying to sacrifice their wickets ???
: Ravi, this really makes me to think, how these players have played in their domestic levels? A basic mistakes like these should have been corrected in domestic level itself. For any batsman, to run without trying to stretch and ground their bat is definitely a poor thing to do.
: That too, for Dravid, it happens frequently. Some others like Ganguly and VVS Laxman also tend to run like the similar manner. They are always known for their bad running between the wickets.
: This is one of the areas where, Sachin Tendulkar is still at his best. I still see him as the fastest runner between the wickets even at the age of 30+.
: Well, we spoke about the top class bowling earlier. Coming back to that again, which bowler had impressed you Wasim?
: To be frank, all the bowlers did a good job. The one which impressed me is, Nel. His line and length and accuracy and aggressiveness made the job of batsmen even more tough.
: This is how his bowling has went today,
Nel Vs India.
: As I mentioned, it's really impressive. Having bowled nearly 9 overs, he just gave away 20 runs and also managed to get three wickets!
: It included the crucial dismissal of Dravid too. Also other magnificent thing is, all the three wickets were obtained from three magical yorkers.
: In particular, the yorker which got rid of Dravid was really a magical one. As a bowler, I really like to bowl such types especially in end overs. He came back in his last spell with more accuracy and delivered some fantastic yorkers and denied Indian batsmen, a good score on their board.
: Yes Wasim, with Dravid settling down nicely, I personally espected something like 220 which would have been some good score to defend. Anyways Wasim, it's time to get back to the studio to watch the LIVE actions of Indian bowling now. What do you think Wasim?
: The very first 15 Overs are going to be crucial. If bowlers manage to pick 3-4 wickets in those crucial overs, definitely, India do have a good chance to defend this score. But with lights ON, the ball should be coming bit more nicely onto the bat in this innings than the first innings.
: We have to wait and see how this contest turns up. We will be back again to this show after the match finishes. Till then, Bye from the Studio.
: Bye
:On an extra note, before leaving this show, here comes a small segment, " Do You know " bringing you some facts about cricket to the Viewers.
