i rekon its a reasonable start for India. Sachin playing well at the moment, sad to see Ganguly drop

It would be a slow start if India had lost more batters, but with only 1 wicket down near the half way mark there is still time for a big score.

Awesome work mate...

Slow start by India but the score is good atm. If India had played the same way in SA in real life then they could have posted good totals in every match. Ganguly batted nicely before he was caught by Pollock but still India have wickets in hand and they can look forward to post a decent total.

Awesome work as always :clap

Absolutely amazing update mate  This story is immense :)

India have made a slow start but at least they have lots of wickets in hand. Hopefully they will be able to accelerate and notch up a big total. I can't wait for the next update :hpraise

Without doubt best story of all. Keep up good work.

India In SouthAfrica
India Vs SouthAfrica

First ODI Match(D/N),Johannesburg.
First Innings, End of 30 Overs

India In Deep Trouble!
( Sachin,Viru and Yuvi back to Pavilion )

With Sachin looking settled, SouthAfrican skipper was working hard with his field setup and the bowlers. He stopped Nel from one end and introduced Kallis. The quality allrounder also started off in a threatening way which ended as a maiden first over. Langeveldt kept continuing in other end though.

Viru's Survivals Against Some Close Shouts.

Both the bowlers, Langeveldt and Kallis were troubling Sehwag. Batsman was decieved many times while trying to go at the bowlers. Viru tried to play some big shots in order to accelerate the scorecard but it ended in LBW appeals. Couple of them were given in benefit of the batsman though the replays showed that they would have knocked the stumps.

Langeveldt was frustrated the most. Right from the start of his spell, he kept on troubling both the batsmen. It's to be noted that, it was Steve Bucknor who turned down all the three appeals( two from Langeveldt and one from Kallis). South African skipper maintained his patience and kept on encouraging his bowlers.

Tendulkar's Huge Six ~ Action Replay!

animatedsachinsixko6.gif

In one of the deliveries of Langeveldt, Sachin Tendulkar went wild over the bowler and played a classic shot. The strength of that shot was sufficient enough to clear the ropes for a Maximum!!!

There were shouts from bowler and keeper to catch it after the ball went up in air but, those seemed to optimistic shouts in the end. ;) SouthAfrican skipper and bowler were frustrated with this shot. With that six, Tendulkar reached 49 too. Everyone(spectators) were cheering for Master's fifty.

Some Runs for India, Finally!

Sehwag, after some struggles, started to make runs. He got a couple of use boundaries which brought all the Indian fans to jump from their seats. One of them was a sweep shot off a slow delivery which looked fantastic to watch. This boosted Sehwag's confidence as well.

In other end, Tendulkar took a simple single and raised his bat for his half century. It was really a fighting knock from the Master. The SouthAfrican bowlers never allowed Indian batsmen to settle down but, it was Master who outclassed the hosts so far with his patience and concentration. Spectators applauded this brilliant effort.

It didn't last long though.

Sachin Tendulkar Dismissed.

tendulkaroutwi0.jpg

In one of the deliveries of Kallis to Tendulkar, Sachin continued his good mood of hitting the bowlers. He played an flashy cover drive which seemed like going to the boundary like a rocket.. but, from nowhere, SouthAfrican skipper made a huge leap and managed to get hold of the ball. It turned out as a fantastic catch. Smith couldn't believe that he got that catch as he just tried to stop that.

Tendulkar could not believe that the catch was taken. Kallis and other players started running towards their skipper and celebrations continued. Tendulkar was frustrated to extreme extent and returned back to pavilion with his face down. He received applauses from everyone but his face clearly revealed his disappointments.

Indian Skipper, Dravid replaced the Master at the crease. The things turned out to continue in SA's favour after that.

Viru followed Sachin to Pavilion Immediately!

This time it was Langeveldt who made another crucial breakthrough. The bowler attempted a fantastic yorker to Viru. Batsman just tried to play that delivery but failed to make any contacts with the ball. As a result, ball made his way towards stumps and knocked them off!

Celebrations continued for SouthAfrican team. Smith got delighted the most. Viru stood clueless for some seconds and started walking to pavilion with huge disappointments. India's situation looked worse all of a sudden because of the loss of those two quick wickets.

It didn't stop with this. Yuvraj also added to everyone's frustrations further.

Yuvraj Disappointed the Spectators.

yuvioutnu3.jpg

When Yuvraj walked in, there were some huge shouts for the batsman as everyone were waiting for some entertainments from this man, Yuvi. But he did the exact opposite.

It was Kallis this time. It was a normal delivery to Yuvraj but batsman was in great hurry to smash it for the boundary. Yuvi played a aggressive pull shot but didn't get the enough distance to clear the inner circle fielder. It turned out to be a simple catch to Nel. Celebrations continued for SouthAfrica. Each and every face in Indian dressing room revealed the frustration limits.Yuvraj returned to dressing room and Rohit Sharma arrived as a new batsman.

Well, 30 overs have finished. Apart from the run rate, wickets column remain as the major worrying factor for India at the moment. They lost 3 quick wickets for just around 20 runs. All of a sudden, India's position is looking worse compared to their initial steady start. A huge partnership is what India needed now. Meanwhile, Smith would want to continue the same momentum of taking quick wickets and apply pressure on India. Have to wait and see what the Indian skipper and Twenty20 match winner(RohitSharma) can do against this quality pace attack of SouthAfrica. It's going to be a good contest. Stay Tuned! :)

India : 114/4( 30 Overs, Run Rate : 3.8 R/O )
Rahul Dravid : 1*(14)
Rohit Sharma : 1*(1)

Yuvraj Singh : 7(7) Dismissed by Kallis.
V.Sehwag : 18(32) Dismissed by Langeveldt.
Sachin Tendulkar : 56(77) Dismissed by Kallis.
Sourav Ganguly : 22(49) Dismissed byLangeveldt.

Panic Situation for India!

India are in a bit of trouble here. They need you to establish some control over them. Dravid and Sharma both need to make big scores.

Fantastic presentation as ever mate, you are a legend for all of us story makers to look up to :hpraise

Really quite poor from India. Slow run rate and now losing wickets. Sachin the only batsmen to get going and even he threw his wicket away with a lofted drive. Two new batsmen and with Dravid finidng it hard to get going, India may have to settle for 200.

Mate, exellent, exellent update. The way you set this out, just looks like you are playing a whole new game to everyone else, it looks so good.

A good knock from Sachin, but his fellow team mates have let him down, but some good bowling from South Africa.

Keep up the good work

Excellent update....India need to get quick runs...it upto the remaining batsmen to score runs...bad to see Viru and Yuvi not getting big runs....Great to see Sachin scoring a 50...India need to stabilize the innings...My advice to Indian Batting... Play carefully till 42 overs after that go for the big ones...don't lose wickets and rotate the strike...

Superb presentation as always
