INDIA Vs AUSTRALIA , Live From Malaysia​

Welcome to the third match of the DLF cup between India & Australia from Malaysia.... Well, lets see the pitch & Weather Report!

Weather Report ​

Well, the climate here is absolutely cool and will be an enjoyable environment to play cricket.... Also the good news is that there has been no showers for last 24 hours and so we might expect the full day's play.... But there has been a cool breeze all over!!!

Pitch Report ​

The pitch remains almost same but there has been some additional spots developed that might help bowlers... In one corner of the pitch, there are lot of black spots with minute cracks that will be quite handy for left arm bowlers if used cleverly..... So i guess Pathan and Hogg must be hunting for this spot

Also, near the batting crease, a huge black patch that will produce an uneven bounce which will irritate the batsmen... To be more specific, those patches wil keep the ball low whatever pace the delivery is.... So if the bowler is targetting this spot, then he should reduce the pace to do some tricks... Spinners like Harbhajan targetting on this spot will be dangerous...

Also some random cracks everywhere that makes the bounce unpredictable... So main thing required is, " Be Watchful "

Team winning the toss can do anythng...but its better to bowl, as its better to know the target and chase on these kind of tracks!!!

Sreesanth is out of the Tean XI and M.Kaif is been brought into the team...Well its a good chance for Kaif in this match!!!

Well, Both Clarkes ( Michael & Stuart ) are out of the team and Jacques & Bracken has been brought into the team for this match... This is an interesting change!!!

INDIAN INNINGS BEGINS...

Well, all set ready for the start of the game, & McGrath was on the way with the new ball bowling to Sachin Tendulkar... This time Sehwag has been asked to open with the Master!!! So the crowd started their music now!!!

McGrath's first over was a good over and Sachin was very watchful and didnt attempt to play any aggressive shots!!!

Brett Lee shared the new ball with McGrath... Sehwag straight away was off to a great confident start with Two runs.. He was playing the shots so freely, to be more specific, it was looking like Sehwag playing Naturally game with confidence!!!

Also he got some fours... The beautiful boundary of all was the lovely late cut played against the slow delivery attempted by McGrath!!! It just went near the slip fielder but the power of the shot was well enough for the ball to reach the boundary.....

In One of Lee's fast delivery, Sehwag went for an aggressive cover drive but was edged to a boundary.. he was very lucky enough that the ball didnot find the fielder there....

Also, he got a huge six of Lee's fast delievry... This time he used the pace and his strength and got the maximum... well the crowd roared when Sehwag hit that six.... So, After a long time, Sehwag was found providing a great entertainment to the spectators!!!

TENDULKAR CONTINUES HIS GOOD FORM!!!

Well in one end, the fireworks were going on from Sehwag... It was expected from Sachin to play a supportive role which he normally does.. But this time it was different, Sachin Tendulkar also joined the party with Viru and continued his great form from the last match!!!


Sachin also fired few boundaries.. Of all, the beautiful boundary was the typical Sachin's legglance that made the ball to travel like a rocket to the boundary inspite of the slow outfield... Sachin played some magnificent straight drives too....


Fireworks from both the ends not only provided entertainment to the spectators but also accelerated the score card for India and more importantly India havent lost a wicket so far in first 10 overs and their run rate was almost 6 runs/Over ( 5.7 R/O )!!!

INDIAN OPENERS DEPARTED!!!​

Well, Aussies were worried about these openers accelerating every ball they face and both their strike bowlers Lee & Mcgrath wasnt that effective as espected!!! Ponting though had regular chat with the bowlers, batsmen outsmarted them at every occasion!!! However Ponting stopped McGrath and gave the ball to Bracken!!!

Idea Of Bringing Hogg Early!!!

Then Ricky Ponting, Australian skipper went to D.Martyn and was having a long discusion after the eleventh over!!! Ponting was slightly confused of the bowling change to bring in Hogg or Watson in Lee's end!!!

Watson was used as the fourth bowler in previous match where Hogg was brought in lately but generally spinners striked at very first spell for both Windies & India!!! i.e Banks was effective in both the matches and Harbhajan striked in his very first over!!!

This made Ponting to discuss with one of the experienced team member Martyn and came to a conclusion of bringging Hogg early in 12th over itself as the fourth bowler!!!

Hogg Striked In His First Over!!!

Well, this different idea worked for Aussies!! Hogg striked in his very first over..Sehwag was the batsman facing Hogg... Infact Sehwag was excited a bit as he was facing the spin....

Sehwag attempted the big one resulting in the misread of the ball and as a result, the ball missed the bat and striked the stumps... Sehwag was clean bowled!!! It was very careless shot attempted resulting in the cheap dismissal... Sehwas was well set after a long time but he sacrificed his wicket!!!

The entire Australian team were excited a lot and celebrations were going on and Ponting's face was even more happier as his decision of bringing Hogg worked fine!!!

In fielding, Australiaa was brilliant...They didnt give up that easily for even singles and were trying to stop it as much as they can... There were some brilliant dives made in the field... Some brilliant chases were made when the ball was travelling towards the ropes...They gave up only at the last moment when they werent able to do it!!! So it was Top Class Fielding display by Aussies!!!

Sachin In fine Touch

Well, Sachin Tendulkar was not affected by his clone's departure He was acclerating the scorecard as much as he can and the most important thing was he was looking confident evry ball he faced!!! Sachin got some couple of boundaries from Hogg as well... Ponting was not worried though... Ponting kept on attacking more in the other end which Dravid was batting!!! Sachin continued his brillaint form like the previous match against windies... he reached 40 and Hogg was the bowler about to start his over!!!

Master Departs ---- Huge Blow For India!!!

Hogg was spot on the uneven bounce area which geoffrey was talking about this morning... this resulted in some extra bounce than Sachin expected... Tendulkar attempted to play an normal shot but due to that extra bounce was decieved well and the ball managed to hit the stumps again!!! Hogg striked for second time in first spell itself..... Hogg got the huge wicket and this worried all the Indian spectators and there was huge silence when Sachin returned to pavilion!!!

Ponting's face was the happiest of all as his major decision fetched two crucial wickets for Australia!!! Soyrav Ganguly was the new batsman joining Indian skipper and already Sourav was lacking in confidence... This made Ponting to attack in both the ends!!!

Dravid Rotating Strikes

Rahul Dravid has to play the huge role to save his team... Dravid was also little uncomfortable along with Sourav but he managed to pick the gaps perfectly and rotate singles and got couple of boundaries off the bad deliveries!!! Ganguly was also off the mark and these two are found to rotate strikes as much as possible and accelerating the score card... Dravid's intentions of not to apply brakes to scoring rate was very clear and infact Indian skipper was very much contented with this policy of taking singles!!!
