India build pressure on England with taking 3 quick wickets!!!
So with just 20 minutes play to be held England openers,Indian team with umpire came on field. But the weather was continuously changing,sometimes it was cloudy and sometimes it was sunny. So,Dhoni took his time in setting the field and then umpire Taufel said let's play guys! Sreesanth's first over was bit expensive,8 runs came of his first over and we have to say it was a fine start for the innings. But Zaheer Khan's next over was really good,he got some swing but didn't got any wicket. Then Sreesanth started his run up for his second over... Sreesanth's very first bowl was quick and got some swing. Then when he was going back to his run up,Sachin quickly went to him and said him few words smiling "%**$#*$(" then Dhoni changed the field and bough a extra slip field obviously Indians had some tactics,4th slip Harbhajan Singh and straight away India got a wicket! Sreesanth bowled a very slow ball,Cook decided to go for a big shot but got some edge on the bowl but it went at the slips,Harbhajan Singh flying like a superman took the catch. Woof! No one believed that it was a catch but Turbanator started celebrating,Umpire Simon Taufel decided to refer the decision to third umpire and after few minutes 3rd umpire pressed the red button and India got their first victim! :happy
After 2 deliveries Sreesanth's second over ended. Zaheer started his second over and similar to his first over he build the pressure on England team. England team was looking under pressure,Zaheer was not allowing them to hit runs and maybe that was going in favor of Sreesanth. Sreesanth was taking advantage of this and when he started his third over he continued building pressure on England side.. Strauss got fed up and decided to improve the run rate,Dhoni knew that a big shot is coming so he changed the field. Previously the field was attacking and Dhoni changed it to defensive. It in a way was the thing Strauss wanted and Strauss didn't bother and went for a big stroke,But got thick edge of the bat and ball went straight in the air. It was an easy catch for the fielder there and India got yet another wicket,Both the England openers back to the pavilion. :happy :banana2
Sreesanth's another over ended and it was again the experienced man Zaheer... He remained building pressure on England side and mainly he was not allowing Pietersen to play his normal innings. Morgan was rotating the strike but Pietersen who made century in the first innings was not able to play his normal innings. Last bowl of Zaheer's third over could have got him a wicket but in place of that Pietersen got a boundary. Zaheer pitched the bowl short,Pietersen tried to defend the ball but got edge and this time no one from slip was able to take the catch and the ball went for a boundary. So then Sreesanth started his 4th over,It was the last over before the lunch break. Morgan rotated the strike on the very first bowl,But on the next 4 balls Pietersen was not able to rotate the strike. On the last bowl Sreesanth got yet another wicket. :happy Pietersen again tried to defend like he did on last bowl of Zaheer's over but this time that man again,Harbhajan took a brilliant catch! This time there was no doubt in umpires mind and it was straight away given out! So we are ready for a great match,England have lost three wickets. Can their be any player from England side who can step forward and say I will win the match for my side no matter what the circumstances are? Or can anyone from India side bowl very well like Sreesanth currently and win the match for India? What will happen only time will tell,What we can do is enjoy the match.

I don't think Strauss is that inexperienced. I liked that the 3 wickets fell quickly before reading the update. But, in a test match I don't think there's a need to get that run-rate going especially when the side has lost one of their opening batsmen. You could have credited the 2 wickets to some good bowling by the Indians rather than the mistake by the batsmen.

Actually I wrote Strauss got fed up because in a way I wanted to show that Sreesanth was not bowling that good that he was taking wickets,It was basically Zaheer who was bowling very well. Also in the image Strauss seems to go for a big strokes so to go with the image I wrote Strauss got fed up and went for a big stroke. Although I could have surely thought of something better,Cheers for the advice though I will keep that in mind for the future updates.
England looks to be in huge huge trouble. I think England's top three are their strength but you have sent them back to the pavilion which is a huge thing. Huge task for the likes of Collingwood and Morgan and I feel India are gonna win this with ease.

So after lunch players and on field umpire came to field to start the play. England lost three crucial wickets very quickly and obviously pressure was on their side. But the man who has often in the past came forward and has won or tied lots of nail bitting test matches for his team I am talking about none other than Collingwood God in disguise for England..... :sarcasm He was at the crease and the other man was Morgan who has ability of hitting big strokes and can play slowly and supportive cricket as well. We should not forgot that Swann and Broad can bat as well so England have not lost the match still... So finally the play started,Morgan was looking uncomfortable at the crease maybe because there was so much pressure on him and we should not forgot that he is playing his debut match. Just because of so much pressure on him he lost his wicket very soon after the lunch. Sreesanth was given the bowl,It was a bit cloudy and the pitch was supporting bowlers. Sreesanth bowled a full length delivery,Sreesanth got bit swing as well. Morgan got confused wherever he should go for a big strokes or should he take a single. Morgan got in position to play the stroke but the ball got swing and Morgan completely missed it and it rapped onto his pads. Sreesanth shouted "Howzat"!!! Umpires,Simon Taufel raised his finger,Collingwood was looking very angry on Morgan and Morgan head was down and he made his way back to the pavlion.

Prior was the next batsman and he was struggling to get off the mark even. He took 15 balls to get off the mark but once he got off the mark he was playing freely. He smashed one six and basically was rotating the strike to Collingwood.. Collingwood was playing his normal cricket,He was putting bad balls away for boundaries and was taking singles or doubles on good balls. So now England side have some sort of a recovery the question is that will this continue or any of these two batsman or both of them will loose their wickets? We will see!

A good partnership was building. Dhoni knew that Collingwood has ability to play under pressure so its hard to get him out but Prior can get out but the question was how? Dhoni decided to try some new things and gave bowl to Gambhir.... A brave decision we should say,Gambhir is a part time bowler but giving him the bowl in pressure,interesting. Gambhir first over proved to be a bit expensive Prior smashed him for 2 boundaries in the over but he came back and took the wicket of Prior. Prior was hitting Gambhir well and got a bit carried away,Forgot the match situation and tried to play a big stroke. Gambhir bowled a juicy full toss,Prior tried to smash it on straight but bowl went straight in the air and Laxman's safe pair of hands took the catch. England lost another wicket!
Broad was the next batsman,Broad took 2 singles and then got out. It was that man again Gambhir. Broad was trying to smash the bowl on leg side but bowl surprisingly got spin and managed to get Broad out bowled. Gambhir was jumping here and there he could not believe his luck but one thing was for sure that Gambhir can bowl as well similar to Broad. :sarcasm After wickets falling Collingwood decided to play few big strokes. He was smashing Gambhir obviously because Gambhir is not an regular bowler. Collingwood was successful in his plan. Swann was supporting him well by taking singles but the overhead conditions were not good for cricket.
But Collingwood just decided to smash the bowlers. He knew that Swann can support him well and some quick runs can get England back on track. Anderson can bat as well so still some hopes left for England. After few minutes because of bad weather conditions Tea break was called and players made their way back to the respective pavilions. Now the question is can that man again,Collingwood take England to the victory? Or India will win the match? Its getting tense and exciting lets see what happens...
Good recovery from England,End of Day 4!!!
So,After the tea match again started. Swann and Collingwood were not at all taking risks,They were taking singles because a partnership was needed. Even Gambhir now was not able to take wickets and that's obvious because he's a part time bowler and we cant expect much wickets from him. Swann normal batting is to hit boundaries and play aggressively. But he was not able to play aggressively,Collingwood was taking most of the strike but one thing was that Swann was doing well in staying at the crease. Collingwood was very lucky,Few of his catches were dropped but still he was not loosing his concentration. India bowlers and Captain were absolutely clueless... :what
Weather was overcast and ideal for sleeping but players can't skip the game. :sleep Dhoni was changing bowlers from both the ends but it was not working,England were inching closer to the target. Gambhir was taken off the attack for sometime but when he was brought back to bowl Collingwood smashed him for few boundaries. Collingwood carefully fined the gaps and smashed few boundaries. Swann didn't got carried away by that and continued taking singles rather than hitting boundaries and getting out..
After smashing couple of boundaries Collingwood reached his very well made fifty. Again the man showed that how well he plays under pressure. Whole England team clapped for his well made fifty. After reaching to his fifty Collingwood was playing in the similar fashion he was playing before his fifty. After few minutes when it was closing to the end of day 4. Swann smashed Harbhajan Singh for couple of boundaries and then umpires decided to end the days play. What a day for both the teams,Sometimes India on top and sometimes England. Now the question is what will happen on day 5? Will England win the match? Or India will get few quick wickets? Only time will tell lets see what happens...

So, It was all set for day 5 to start. Players made walk to the middle to start the days play. Both the England batsman, Swann and Collingwood were looking happy. England got a solid progress and were all set to start the match. On other hand Indian players head were down, They were looking disappointed but the experienced men’s of the team, Dravid and Sachin were trying to cheer up all the players.
MS Dhoni took his time to set the fielding, Sachin and Dravid in the mean time were talking to the bowlers to share the ideas and cheer them up. Ground was full of crowds, After all the match could well be one of the better test matches ever. So, All the players got settled and umpire called “play”.

Swann had the intentions of being attacking. Indian bowlers were not at all at their best, They were nervous and frustrated at the same time. Dravid,Sachin and Dhoni were continuously cheering up the boys and it did work at a point of time. Collingwood was struggling on day 5. He was looking nervous and that’s fair enough, Whole team was depending on him and he was not able to handle the pressure on day 5. Zaheer Khan used his experience and rolled his fingers over the bowl to get some swing, He bowled a full length delivery and Collingwood tried to flick it but a fielder was there and bowl went straight to him. Whole Indian team was jumping here and there because they got wicket of main batsman of England side Collingwood who was the key to win the match for England. :happy :banana
After Collingwood wicket pressure was on England but Swann continued playing attacking cricket. Anderson, The new batsman, was trying to be defensive but he didn’t succeeded in it and got out for a duck! Anderson tried to push the bowl on leg side but got slight edge and bowl went to the keeper and Dhoni took a great catch. India got yet another wicket! :happy Onions, Next batsman was even not able to do anything special with that bat and got out in typical tail-enders way. Sachin Tendulkar pitched the bowl short and Onions thought to leave it but bowl got some spin and Onions misjudged it and hence got bowled. Pressure now on England and we are set for a thrilling cricket match. Who says test cricket is boring? Test cricket is damn interesting,16 needed by England to win but just 1 wicket in hand. So,16 was needed and England had just 1 icket in hand. Crowd was shouting and singing to support their team England. Overhead conditions were not ideal for play but who cares till their team plays well. Swann was not taking any kind of risk; He was taking singles because England just had one wicket in hand. On other hand Indian bowlers were putting their heart outs to get one more wicket. Each and Every run from England side was appreciated. Dhoni was continuously cheering up his bowlers. Swann was taking singles and Plunkett was doing well to stay in the middle with Swann. Swann slowly and steadily took England innings forward. When it got very close, England needed just 6 runs. MS Dhoni gave bowl to Harbhajan. There were lots of question raised by commentators about why did Harbhajan didn’t bowl much? Is he injured or what?
Harbhajan bowled 3 bowls and most importantly 3 dot balls then on the 4th bowl Plunkett gave a single to Swann. Swann defended the fifth bowl and on 6th bowl he took a single. Next over was bowled by Sachin, Punkett defended 4 balls and then tooka single and on the last bowl of the over Swann took a single. Swann defended next 4 balls of Harbhajan but on the 5th bowl he smashed him for a six and England won the match!

All the Indian fans were disappointed in the stand but on other hand England fans were so happy with their team’s performance. It was party time for them! There are lots of things on which India need to improve but England played so well and deserved the victory.

Firstly I would like to call the loosing captain MS Dhoni.
So, Dhoni your team lost this match. What do you think could be the reason of this loss?
There are various areas on which we need to improve on. Our openers are not at their very best, When one opener clicks other doesn’t so if our openers can click we can win matches. Our bowlers are injured so I hope till next match the bowlers can be fit again.
Do you think that fielding needs to be improved as well? That’s the area where you guys were not at all good in this test match.
Yes, We need to improve our fielding big time. We can’t let so many catches drop, If we would have taken the catches of Collingwood and Swann we got, we could have easily won this match.
Yeah Dhoni, best of luck for the next match, Indian fans certainly hope better performance from you guys.

Yes, Quite happy with the performance. We won the match with just 1 wicket but still a victory is victory.
These days team are struggling to find good bowlers. But England has some different case, All of your bowlers are bowling very well. Maybe because of conditions suit there bowling as well?
Obviously, Bowlers are bowling very well. Conditions are ideal for the type of bowling they do and hence were are playing well.
