This is the partnership that is a sort of a momentum shift in this game.

I think with Rohit in this team we could even chase 270 but he isn't available in this series and hence a score of 20 less is just as good.

I really don't understand the need to drag Shikhar Dhawan. His game doesn't suit 2020s at all. Yes he does get to a quicker start as compared to Rohit but the problem is that he doesn't accelerate once set. It's high time that players like Prithvi Shaw & Ruturaj Gaikwad are brought into the mix.

I desperately want him to be the captain but don't think this management is looking at him as an option, so Pant is much better than Rahul.

KLR's tactics do not surprise me one bit. With regards to his batting, expecting the same,selfish displays that we were subject to, during the IPL.

Anyhow, can someone please help me understand what value does Venkatesh Iyer bring to this playing XI? I thought he was chosen as a like-for-like replacement of Hardik Pandya. He isnt opening the batting nor is he bowling. If the sole purpose is to use him as a floater, it kinda defeats the All-Round aspect that he is known for.

ODI's are so boring as it is and to top we have Shikhar still in the XI and now KL captaining the side, makes ODI's more boring. When I saw the XI and our tail is Iyer, Ashwin, Thakur, Bum, Bhuvi and Yuzi! Wow! That is a long ass tail.

Thakur and Iyer should not be in the XI together. Bumrah, Bhuvi, Iyer, Ashwin, Yuzi are competent enough for 5 bowlers slot. Cannot wait for hitman to come back. I really miss seeing his vibe on the field. Kohli should have captained this series knowing Sharma was out.

I am switching over to watching the U-19 lads. More energy, more positivity and better captaincy from Nishant Sindhu.
