I said this, just because I knew you would do this! That is a true fact, that Srikkanth has been lot lenient towards Tamil Nadu players. This is not your bloody thread, so shut up asking me not to give you counters! You are not the guy who doles out commands here.
So, this proves that even you feel Srinivasan has bought WC!In the past with the North Indian XI's, India never won a World Cup, India were never No.1 in test cricket and India were never this close to No.1 in ODI's. And dont tell me N.SRINIVASAN IS BEHIND ALL THIS GLORY INDIA HAS GOT!!! Even if you bring in that argument, why didnt we have an N.Srinivasan in those days who could buy India the World Cup, who could buy India the test ranking, who could push India up the ODI ladder?
I never bought in the topic of "Match fixing" here.
Mukund >>> Pandey anyday. Pandey brought about his own downfall. Got involved in lot of controversies, didnt put himself high up there with his attitude to negotiate salaries behind scenes and put himself in a mess. Even if he didnt do all of it, Mukund is a more specialist and better opener than Manish Pandey (has Pandey ever opened in domestic cricket, he is a more middle order batsman). Murali Vijay and Mukund are picked for the opening slot. The whole nation (except a handful of anti-South morons) thinks that its time for Badrinath to get a longer run in the national team.
I agree, Mukund is a better opener than Pandey, but I feel experimenting someone who deserves can be a calculated risk.
Pandey can be easily experimented as a opening batsman, I'm sure he can do justice. When there is no harm is experimenting out Rohit Sharma as a opener, in high profile World Cup, I think experimenting Pandey will not create big loss.
And that action was just due to tweaking frustration, as he wasn't included in auction just because he hadn't had national cap, whereas many of his age group players got a chance, who were lot worse than him- which is even because of his absence in Indian squad due to dirty politics.
If India can be as dominant in international cricket as they are right now, then let Srikanth be as biased towards Tamil Nadu players as he is said to be right now! And right now, the no. of Delhi players who play for India is far more than the number of Tamil Nadu players (e.g. Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli, Ishant, Nehra, Mishra). Right now, a Delhi dominance is going on, and these guys call Srikanth as being biased towards Tamil players. There was a guy called Sadagoppan Ramesh who was a very good opener for India. He was completely ruined by the previous 'pro Mumbai' selection committee's and so many Tamil players have never got their deserving chances. Now that a few get it, you guys rake up a storm?
Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli and Nehera are Indian main players, who cannot be ruled out for silly reasons. Ishant and Mishra are second level players, who get into the team whenever someone else don't perform well. I was talking about the replacement stuffs, not the main ones.
Whenever I hear someone has got replaced (due to injury or whatsoever) or some newbie is getting a chance, I hear the one replacing the main one/the one debuting is from Tamil Nadu.
As if Binnu understands. A guy like Virat Kohli who has played so many ODI's to establish himself gets his test chance only now. And this Binnu guy wants an immediate test spot for Manish Pandey over more accomplished and classical test players like Mukund, Vijay and Badrinath.
Manish Pandey is more of a FC player, than a One Day player. He deserves both ODI and Test match, ahead of Abhinav Mukund, who has seniority in terms of experience. When Murali Vijay directly wore Test cap, whats the problem when it comes to Pandey to endorse it, when he deserves?
PS: I din't say inclusion of Badrinath is unfair job.
And this will be the last time I'll be talking regarding "Tamil Nadu Player's precedence and associativity please." I can't just stop talking about the politics, which the one misses out feels.
--------------
PS: Sorry for being so harsh, but I couldn't stop speaking all that stuff. I know, a person from Tamil Nadu will definitely will raise up his blood pressure levels (the last second paragraph, where I mentioned "Tamil Nadu player"), but this is what is happening IMO. Srikkanth is being too lenient towards Tamil Nadu players, which is clearly proved!
