England should have batted out their overs. KP and Shah batted superbly. Great works DX. The graphics and presentation is amazing. Keep up the superb works mate.
yeh nice new snazzy presentation there! Great batting from KP - but thats just to be expected isnt it! Lets hope the seamers can win us the 1st 20/20 international!
Fulton starts off quickly and gets rid of Sidebottom's over with 2 boundaries and 10 runs to his name. He hits a maximum over mid on and then a delightful boundary with a cover drive.
2nd Over - Bowled by Anderson:
0,1,6,0,0,1
18/0
Fleming gets a single and Fulton is on strike again and he repeats to Anderson what he did to Sidebottom by hitting a massive six over mid on. He gets a single to retain the strike.
3rd Over - Bowled by Sidebottom:
0,4,4,6,2,0
34/0
New Zealand are romping away as Sidebottom gets it all wrong again. Fulton adds 16 to his and New Zealand's total with three boundaries including a hook for six, a cover drive and a chip over mid off down the ground. England need a wicket!
4th Over - Bowled by Anderson:
2,0,0,1,0+WD,6,1
45/0
Fleming gets three runs before Fulton gets the strike and delivers a killer blow to Anderson who sees a good ball flying out the ground down the ground leaving Fulton on 40 not out after just 4 overs. Someone has to stop the Kiwis soon or it is going to be over in a hurry.
5th Over - Bowled by Flintoff:
W,W,1,W,0,0
46/3
Flintoff strikes! The best all rounder in the world gets the wicket of Fulton when he plays it to the cover drive boundary and is caught easily by James Anderson. England have their first breakthrough!
Flintoff gets Vincent first ball when he goes for a big shot first ball down the ground but gets it all wrong and goes back to the dressing room with a golden duck to his name. Flintoff is on a hat-trick!
Ross Taylor gets himself off strike with a single down to third man before Flintoff strikes again this time getting the former captain Fleming caught in the covers. Suddenly England are back in the game thanks to Flintoff!
6th Over - Bowled by Anderson:
1,0,0,0,6,0
53/3
Anderson bowls a very good over and is unlucky when Styris hits a picture perfect shot down the ground for six. New Zealand survive an important over but can they survive the next to be bowled by Flintoff?
7th Over - Bowled by Flintoff:
0,4,6,6,4,0
73/3
Flintoff is very expensive and gives away 20 runs in his second over! Taylor gets four boundaries and looks in fine form. He is now in his thirties and approaching a half century. The four boundaries he hits are down the ground three times and a square drive to a short and wide one.
8th Over - Bowled by Broad:
0,1,0,0,0,6
80/3
Paul Collingwood introduces Stuart Broad into the attack and he does a good job just outside off stump and the batsmen can't do much until last ball Taylor moves across his stumps and whacks it over mid wicket for six more!
9th Over - Bowled by Mascarenhas:
0,0,0,0,1,1
82/3
10th Over - Bowled by Broad:
0,0,0,1,0,0
83/3
11th Over - Bowled by Mascarenhas:
0,0+WD,0,0,0,0,0
84/3
12th Over - Bowled by Broad:
1,1,0,0,W,0
86/4
Broad makes a breakthrough and he deserves the wicket because he is bowling really well along with Mascarenhas and New Zealand are struggling to get runs. Broad gets Styris who goes for a big shot because of the frustration.
13th Over - Bowled by Mascarenhas:
1,6,W,0,6,W
99/6
Mascarenhas takes two wickets as well as conceding 13 runs. England are going to have to bowl out New Zealand if they are going to win though so they won't mind. Oram hits Mascarenhas over midwicket for six before going for a cover drive six but getting caught on the boundary.
McCullum is the new man and he hits a six down the ground taking the Kiwis nearer and nearer to their target but Mascarenhas gets his wicket the very next ball when he tries a cover drive but gets caught as well!
14th Over - Bowled by Broad:
0,0,0,1,1,6
107/6
Broad bowls well again but Ross Tayloy hits over the square leg boundary for another maximum taking him to the forties. Broad cannot believe it and it seems that England are going to lose now surely.
15th Over - Bowled by Mascarenhas:
0,0,1,6,6,6
126/6
Mascarenhas has a disastrous over and Ross Taylor hits three sixes off him to bring up his half century. He hits two big ones down the ground and the third over the covers by miles and into the stands. This has been a fine knock by Ross Taylor who is proving a valuable player for New Zealand.
16th Over - Bowled by Flintoff:
W,W,0,0,0,0
126/8
Flintoff is back into the attack for Collingwood and he bowls unbelievably a double wicket maiden in a Twenty20 match. New Zealand are in trouble but they still have Ross Taylor at the crease. The first man to go was Vettori when Flintoff clean bowled him with a yorker!
Flintoff bowls a slower one to Franklin who completely misreads it and tamely drives it to the covers where he is easily caight. Flintoff is on another hat trick but a forward defence stops him from getting it again.
17th Over - Bowled by Anderson:
6,1,4,W,W
137/10
That is it its all over England have prevailed and gained an unlikely victory bu 9 runs! Taylor started the over by launching Anderson into the crowd and then Martin got a streaky boundary leaving the home team needing 9 to win. However Anderson got his reward by first bowling Martin comprehensively.
And then Flintoff cataching Bond spectacularly on the boundary. Anderson and the England team are overwhelmed by the win and cannot believe it. They seemed like they were never going to win when Taylor was hitting them out of the ground.
New Zealand played well with the bat but their middle order stuggled and Flintoff ripped through them as well as Mascarenhas and Broad tightening things up. Fulton made and exciting 40 at the top and Taylor was 64 not out but no-one else supported them.
England bowled well and Flintoff stole the show by gaining five wickets in three overs. He was the inspiration for the English but Anderson finished the job well and Mascarenhas and Broad contributed well. The only disappointment was however Sidebottom who was smacked everywhere by Fulton.
The star for New Zealand was in no doubt Ross Taylor. He showed his class in his innings picking off the England bowlers at the right times and hitting them in the right areas. He is a key man for the Kiwis in this series.
So the match summary is below and England have won by 9 runs in a thriller. Andrew Flintoff got the man of the match award after a superb bowling display and taking five wickets. Other contenders were Ross Taylor and Kevin Pietersen. Thanks for watching we will see you at the next game!
