Kartik halts England charge England 185-3 (30 Overs) Marcus Trescothick 63(63) Geraint Jones 59(57)
Murali Kartik 2-17 R.P. Singh 1-66
Two wickets from Murali Kartik has brought the home side back into this game. Kartik dismissed both Vaughan and Trescothick in similar fashion. These last ten overs has not only seen two England wickets fall, but also just 45 runs being scored, which on this pitch is pretty low. So a great comeback from India, with their two spinners doing an excellent job.
However despite this England head into the final 20 overs of the innings, still with a run rate of 6+, and with seven wickets in hand. Unless India can pick up a few more wickets quickly, 300+ is very much possible.

Murali Kartik 3-41 Ajit Agarkar 2-41
India have made their way right back into this game, after England earlier got off to a flying start. Murali Kartik and now Ajit Agarkar have halted the England charge, and have rocked them with regular wickets.
We earlier saw Murali Kartik pick up two wickets, including the crucial one of Trescothick. Agarkar then took over bagging the wickets of Pietersen and Flintoff in one over. This after he was hit for 36 runs in his first spell of five overs. Great comeback from the lad. Kartik then made matters worse for the visitors, when he got rid of Andrew Strauss, to take his total tally of wickets in the match to three.
England appear to have lost their way completely after that wonderful start. Regular wickets and a drop in the run rate have seen the home side seize control of the game, and it now seems that the visitors might even struggle to last the entire 50 Overs.
