but i have never talked anything like a fanboy blindly accepting ubuntu as the best and ignoring its faults

and a electronic deice is not all about looks it looks like Cricket man is one of the few that isn't experiencing any problem with iphone grip

Not everyone is having the antenna problem that has been in the news ever since the iPhone 4 hit the shelves. Even if Steve Job's stats of "95% of the users dont have the problem" might not be true, atleast a good chunk of the iPhone 4 users are not facing the problem.

Cricketman (Rohit) has been using HTC's phone right now (I guess Rohit?). If he was an Apple fanboy, he could have got the iPhone 3GS and used it till the iPhone 4 came out.

My uncle had his iPhone 4 here last week. I played around with it and boy is it gorgeous. The screen just caught me the second I turned it on, far better than anything else i have seen. I tried to make the bars dropped but couldn't.

I'm rethinking my plans of going with the Droid X in nov and thinking about jumping ship to apple land

Can't deny that. The screen and display on the iPhone 4 is miles ahead of anything else available in the market. Even the Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S looks bad in comparison.

You're on AT&T? I thought you were on Verizon. Verizon (and T-Mobile to an extent) gets the really cool phones whereas AT&T are really slack at getting the really attractive phones with their service. I cant move to Verizon because my phone is linked with my dad's family plan (and dad doesnt plan to move to Verizon because our relatives and friends are all AT&T and we get the "AT&T Smart calling" or whatever where we can store 10 numbers in our online account and we get unlimited calling to those 10 numbers which doesnt eat into the minutes we have).

I will wait till Nov too, and then probably take the jump into iPhone 4 (hopefully the problems in it, if any, would be solved by then).

I'm on T-Mobile. Verizon's service is easily the best... I was really hoping for an iPhone on VZW. Idk, I really like the Droid X too (but haven't seen it in person yet) so i'll be doing a lot of thinking when I get back to the states to decide which phone and service i'll commit my life to for the next 2-3 years .
