No Requests Jackal's IPL Base Mod with Optional Team Logos...New Add-On!

The four custom teams can be assigned by you, in the game's squad editor.
I just need to do the other four.

The countries and custom teams are setup differently in the xml file and in game. They will look different too.

The country slots require bowling, batting and fielding ratings to be input.
I can leave them where they are (they are pretty low) or you can suggest alternatives.

Let the ratings be as u like mate. It don't bother much. Bg, in game electronic screen logos etc are what matters.

Ok, I'll leave them as they are. I'll probably just edit the existing mod file and add your changes and I'll post the file for you. It's quite specific so I won't be making a separate mod for it.

I'm not doing requests ATM. But for fellow modders... I do make exceptions.

Let me see what I can do.

It's after midnight where I'm at, so I'll take a look at it tomorrow.

Nikhil V. It appears Bangladesh and the custom team I assigned to Punjab share the same corner logo. So if you put the CSK corner logo in the Bangladesh folder, it will also appear for the Punjab team. The game developers got lazy and used the same logo for two teams.

My solution was to assign Punjab in the Bangladesh slot, which solved the issue.

Jackal's Replace 4 Countries Add-On (Requires my IPL Base Mod)

This add-on mod will allow you to replace the following 4 countries with IPL teams:

Bangladesh - Kings XI Punjab
Kenya - Mumbai Indians
Ireland - Rajasthan Royals
Zimbabwe - Royal Challengers Bangalore

The country background will match the IPL team. Several folders contain the pre-numbered and sorted textures to replace the default ones.

The in game video screens will show my custom logos.


All 8 IPL teams will also still appear in the editor as custom teams as before.


Note Issues:

The country and custom teams are setup differently, therefore will look different in the editor.

The names of the countries replaced will still appear in the menu. That's hard-coded from what I can tell. Use the corner logos to identify IPL team.

The transparent team logos won't work with these countries, so I had to put some backgrounds on them, otherwise they would be black.

*Don't forget to add your IPL team kits*

I am not particularly happy with the way this mod turned out. Unfortunately, the game editing limitations didn't allow me to do everything I wanted. It was done as a special request and I consider this an "As Is" mod.

This was a special request mod, I already stated is "as is".

Changing Bangladesh to CSK requires me to restructure my base mod.


Update: I've had a re-think on the situation and I can reassign Punjab with CSK.

A new CSK version of the add-on has been released.

This is the second version of the 4 country replacement mod. It has Chennai Super Kings in the Bangladesh slot instead of KXIP.
(Requires my IPL Base Mod)

The CSK and KXIP team slots had to be switched around for this to work correctly, so some re-installing of IPL kits is required.

Ireland - Rajasthan Royals
Zimbabwe - Royal Challengers Bangalore

This will be the final version of this add-on.

I haven't found a way to do that. I believe it's hard-coded. Also the 3 letter abbreviation appears to associate with the teams kit folder. As you have to use the team folder supplied with the game, you also have to use the 3 letters linked to the team folder, otherwise it won't work.
