Jaques coming in as opener doesn't surprise me. It was Clarke (with Hussey opening) or him (with Hussey in the middle order).

How many of New South Wales are playing in Australian team?

I hope Jaques has a good debut. I wonder what will happen if he has a good debut.
Its hard to drop Langer but that would be the only way to keep Jaques in the side.

I think Langer would come back no matter what Jaques scores. He's a young player, and while his talent is undeniable I will be surprised if he immediately shows enogh consistency at Test level to replace Langer, one of the most consistent batters in the side. Obviously, one test won't prove his consistency, but how many players with 100 on debut got another worthwile score in their second test? I don't know the exact stat, but I'm willing to bet it isn't high.

Jaques had a bad debut. Scored only two runs. One innings left for him to make something of this Test.
