Now I know it is part of the game but England consistantly took my players and didn't even give them a contact. They took at lest 10 players on tours during the season and when they did play they were in terrible form. They even took my first eleven. I had to rely on youths to win the county championship and the 20 over cup and the pro league and the challenge trophy which I did but it was stil annoying. Speaking of which I finally found a keeper who can average 60 in FC. He is a youth though. Book is a regen too as is Slater. Book and Peterson have contracts from England but that is all.

how do you change player's counties, i can change their countries but nothing else

You buy them at the end of the season. When players like Vaughan lose their England contracts you might be able to buy them. Who does Strauss play for?.
