Of course Lohmann keeps his place in the side, as do both Spofforth and Ferris, who've done well so far. Bobby Peel comes back in for Bart King, who has been struggling, while Billy Barnes rounds off the five-man attack and takes up the all-rounder's role. Hopefully he will be able to exploit the bounce in the wicket. Iron gloves Jack Blackham replaces the injured Billy Murdoch, and we'll probably miss Murdoch's runs, even if Blackham is worth a wicket or two per game. The Doctor loses his place at the top of the order, largely because he's been feeble. Stoddart and Shrewsbury come into the side at four and five, meaning that 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are the five changes from the previous game. Just goes to show that you CAN in fact change a winning side.

While the Pakistanis and Zaheer Abbas effortlessly piled on the runs, New Zealand suffered humiliation after humiliation to eventually go down by a gigantic 367 runs.

They got off to the most disastrous start imaginable which left even the Pakistani supporters shell shocked. The scores of their top five batsmen read 1, 0, 0, 1, 0. It was something they never recovered from, with their second innings effort lasting just 32 overs. An absolutely horrendous effort for a Test match even though Hadlee, Crowe & Cairns entertained a bit.

Imran Khan & Wasim Akram totally demolished them with their unplayable reverse swing.
