Oh yes! What a match, really. Sir Don was set the tone for us in the first innings Dennis and co. got the Pakistanis out on 250. The Armstrong-Ponting was crucial which helped up take the lead. There were some sparks here and there from Pakistan batsmen but we managed to bundle them out on a getable score. Clem Hill's quickfire unbeaten 46 saved his berth in the team; if he had failed in this match, he would have been shown the door.

The deadly duo of Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh got the better of New Zealand batsmen in both innings and managed to restrict them to a gettable target despite the efforts of Chris Cairns.
Chasing 294, the West Indians started off with a positive mindset and there was little that could be done by Stephen Fleming and his bowlers to stop them.
Clyde Walcott was the most impressive West Indian batsman in the match with a gritty 52 in the first innings where he had to deal with some hostile bowling by the Kiwis. In the second innings he attacked the bowlers and went on to score an aggressive 106 which was significant in West Indies's successful run chase.
