Actually evil minded was no clue at all. Just to make it a bit cryptic. Daughter was the main clue as maiden being a feminine word. Probably the only one in Cricket? Most people gave 'Drinks' as an answer elsewhere which actually fit pretty well.

Thats what I thought but it isn’t correct
I was going in a different direction. Not "Silly point" but more like "Aha! A good point" i.e it's pointless to fight over something. But after User's post, attention now shifts to the later part of the sentence.
