We are being realistic here. There are no other viable options and he lends balance to the side. Only the best all rounders in history average 30 with the bat and 30 or less with the ball. To ask him to do that is too much. He is promising, but we cannot expect him to be Kapil Dev, Imran Khan or Ian Botham. I would say 20-25 with the bat and 30-35 with the ball is a very decent return. Statistically speaking, over an entire career it doesn't look impressive, but within the context of an individual match, small stats can tip the match India's side, although it is not entirely visible because nothing screams out at you.
