Far too inconsistent in both forms of the game. I wouldn't trust in him to produce match saving knocks when required.
He could be alright for ODI where he can do what Gilly use to do but Haddin will have that role first.

OMG bushy im not sure whether to take this as a joke or if u really are serious.

You do realise he isnt a victorian?

I think Ronchi should be tried in the ODI's an 20/20's for Australia opening the batting.

No way would i put him in the test team though unless he can get some consitency at state level.
Unfortunately Haddin would have to be chosen for tests.

Better than gilly? hell no
As entertaining as gilly?? Almost.

Wasnt gillys avg in tests up around 50?
That isnt just a great record for a keeper/batsmen its great for just specialized batsmen.

GILLY WAS **** FOR THE LAST 3 Years.

Have you seen anything???Or Have you known anything about Gilly???

Last three years ha,Take this,

Gilly has played 287 ODIs with an average of 35.89 and with 16 centuries...
Now In last three years He has played 78 ODIs with an average of 36.80 and with 10 centuries......

Does it make any sound to you???
He has taken 417 Catches behind the Stumps and out of that 111 were taken in past three years..

Stop accusing legend if you don't know anything then...
I hope this Guy Loku Ronchi will do best for his country and will be good player..But for that You don't need to abuse a Legend..He can't be better than Gilly,..Neither as an individual nor as a player..

This Guy will be 2x better then gilly.

So with an average of 38 and 25 you reckon he is going to be 2x better Gilchrist. In your dreams.

Gilchrist > Daylight > *Insert Wicket-keeper here*

Ronchi is too erratic for me. Great one day, shocking the next.

There will never be another Gilly for sure. Haddin and Ronchi may be good, but definately not in the same class as Gilly.I'd say keep Haddin for Tests,Ronchi for ODIs.
Anyone else ?

You know,Ricky Ponting used to keep early on in his career. :)

He could be as destructive with the bat. But as consistent with the bat or as good with the gloves, one can only dream.

They should open with Mike Hussey instead of trying out make-shift opening combinations.
