That is because you have made a C# solution instead of a VB solution(project).

That's due to designing problems. You can fix it by removing the 'Me.' from 'Me.CmdDisplay_Click'.

To make a VB.NET project click new solution, select vb project.

Sharp Develop or VB.net Which one to use ?

I will recommand everyone to go with vb 2005 express edition or vb 2008. They are far advanced and better than sharp develop.

Actually I am weak a defining something I need to say that there are thousands of codes so which code would be perfect for which situation like If I add a Rich Text box to my form and I want that I should be able to change the text font which is typed in Rich Text box only.

I still haven't got a perfect solution for my software. Any basic video tuts suggested for me.

I want to create a program in which I can type and format the text like Bold, Changing its font.

The bold things are a bit complicated. Try making an editor first which can open, create and save files. Thats one hell of an achievement. Then move on to the bold thingy's. Coz as far as i know, every program has its different way of storing formatting.

hry all buddies out there i have a ptob
i updated my OS to XP SP2 n downloaded the VB Express Edition (setup link as given by Harrypotter_Fan) after the download completes the installation starts n after around 4 to 5 percent it stops n a error displays "Plz insert VB Express Edition ENU CD 1"
