hry all buddies out there i have a ptob
i updated my OS to XP SP2 n downloaded the VB Express Edition (setup link as given by Harrypotter_Fan) after the download completes the installation starts n after around 4 to 5 percent it stops n a error displays "Plz insert VB Express Edition ENU CD 1"

What To Do :help:help:help

Which one did you download Online Install or the Offline one ?

Did you use the webBrowser control? Does it have tabbed browsing?

Yes using Web Browser tool but it doesn't have Tab control I am still learning how to add a home page, opening offline HTML files etc. Can you give me tips shreyas

To add a homepage, just open the Internet Options dialog box (search on planet-source-code.com).

Opening HTML files doesn't require any code.

If you have internet on the PC on which you want VB.Net then go for online install and if don't download offline image then transfer it to the PC you want and burn it through Daemon Tools.

hey OJ according to the site given by u i downloaded the online setup n all the software of 72 mb
after download is complete the installation starts
first is .Net Framework 3.5 but after some progress it just stops there does not continue

what shall i do

Post a screenshot of the error you are getting.

I'd rather go for VB.NET 2005 Express than VB.NET 2008 Beta as its still not stable.

What do you mean by installation doesn't progress if it doesn't it should give you a error it must continue

the progress for installation of .NetFramework 3.5 stands still n also does not show any error.for half hour there was no progress
