Making editors for cricket games

Usy, which basic one are you gonna download? Also anyone can learn how to program, you won't be coding the next windows for a long time :p , but SkateBoarder started learning this at 12:00, 7 hours later look what he's produced!

lol skateboarder, good work. Has anyone tried my latest tutorial yet?

How would you format a hard drive? I would use shell to run a batch file with the right commands in it... But anyway, how is everyone getting on?

i cant download vb. ? its not working, i have XP Sev Pack 2. ?

I've basically been experimenting with a few lines of code and Windows Forms. First of all I scrapped the background picture as it made it look ugly really. I replaced it with a nice Essex yellow. ;)
Then I added a few labels with some different text sizes and colours. Adds to the visual appeal and the Essexness. :D
There are also different styles of menus I've used here. Here's some screens.

The main window. The first thing you see when you open the application.

The Drop Down menu. Shows the options you have to answer the question with when you click on it.

Finally, the prompt you see when you click on the 'Done. I hope I never have to do another Skills Test again" button.

That's all I've done so far. I suppose as I learn more and more I can improve. Please don't slag me off with these weak efforts! I am learning.

Looks good. Remember as embi said that you can customise the text box, icon, even put pictures in the combobox (although not as easily as in vb6).
Something I find helpful is sites that have code already written which you can just adapt for your program.

I made a little opinion application so people can say who they think deserved to win the first test between India and England at Nagpur. These are some screens of it:

The main window. Again, the first thing you see when you open the application.

Here's the prompt that comes up when you click on the BCCI logo.

Finally, here's the propmt the comes up when you click on the ECB logo.

I'm still just playing about with VB.NET, hopefully I can soon understand how to make the application do something with the data that it has collected. I also reintroduced the background picture after I found out how to fill the spaces with it and make it look better. Any comments are welcome. I'm still on my L plate!
