Thrilling, Nail Biting, Heart Pounding and what not match it was. As everyone expected 153 was not an enough score for a T20 format. Bangladeshi batsmen came in to the middle with a motto to win this match as they have already faced 3 consecutive loss and this is almost their final chance to move to the knock out stage of the tournament. Imrul Kayes was looking very aggressive from the beginning and started to smash the ball all around the park. Indian bowlers were not able to control him. Bangladesh reached 49 runs in the powerplay without much trouble from the Indian bowling line up.Seven Teams T20 Series
Match 15: India vs Bangladesh
Virat saved the sinking ship.
Bangladesh won the toss elected to bowl first. They were very much aware of the pitch conditions and lucky to win the toss.
Soft pitch with no bounce and slow outfield made it easy for them and sent the opening pair back to pavilion within first two overs.
Virat Kohli came in at #4 and studied the pitch quickly and played a slow and steady innings. Other batsmen were not able stand in the middle for long time.
India were in a very worst position 75 for 7 when Ashish Nehra came in at #9. Virat instructed him to be calm and just rotate the strike and he will take care of the rest.
These two built a good partnership 67 runs of 59 deliveries before Nehra gone out for 23 of 27 deliveries.
Virat Kohli remained unbeaten till the end of the innings with 78 of 54 deliveries and helped India to reach a respectable 153 for 8 in 20 overs.
Will this score be enough or Bangladesh will chase it easily ?
Wait to find out
Ashwin came in to the attack, but he was the one got attacked very badly, giving 27 runs in just 2 overs. Dhoni decided not to go spin anymore as the score is pretty less and Bangladeshis are pretty comfortable against spin.
All four pacemen are used and India was very badly in need another pacer. Without any other choice Kohli was called to bowl. But what a surprise he was the only one who knew what exactly to bowl to control the scoring rate of Bangladesh. In spite the wicket fall in one end, Kayes continued his aggressive batting but not able to stand against the medium pace of Virat. Finally he got out for 75 of 56 deliveries. N Hassan and M Rahman went for the lofted shot and moved the scorecard so close to the victory. It was the last over and Bangladesh needed 10 runs to win. Virat Kohli came to bowl his last over and all Bangladesh hope started fading.
Finally, Virat snatched the victory from Bangladesh by 3 runs. and he was awarded Man of the Match for his one man battle with both bat and ball.
