Managed to hit most of the sites. Grand Canyon is easily the best default scenery.

Very nice flying! The scenery looks awesome. Should go to Rome.

Currently doing a short hop of Sydney to Brisbane in a bombardier using IRF. Struggled to get the radio stuff working at first but I think I'm getting the hang of it. My flight hasn't been too good so far though. Had to stop because of a huge thunder storm we had last night, gonna finish it now.

I feel like I'm cheating when I'm using autopilot... but I couldn't keep my plane under control. Tried flaps and trimming it etc, but it kept climbing way to much or falling way to much. Just using this flight to get the hang of IRF and Autopilot.

LOL, I know how you feel like your cheating using autopilot. But just think, you still do all the important stuff like landing and takeoff, autopilot just lets you skip the boring parts.

Haha yeah. Landed in Brisbane, very dodgy landing. Unsure if I want to fly somewhere else now, not really liking this aircraft.

Auto pilot is no cheating, commercial pilots rarely fly the plane by hand besides takeoff.

Matt have you figured out ILS? it will make landing a lot more fun and easier as well.

Matt try trimming not just the pitch but also the rudder if it lets you. Most jets will let you trim just about anything that moves on the plane.

Is there a way you can set the trim & rudder to 0 when the game starts?

Because it is just a pain, first you have to find the damn thing and then it takes a while to adjust.

Press Num 5 to reset rudder and ailerons you have to have the num lock on.

I was flying using IFR, not sure about ILS... does it happen automatically if you are doing IFR?

Will try it on my next flight

Got a question.

Whenever I tune to an ILS in and then click on the NAV1 button to hear to NAV radio, I only get the constant Morse code beeping of the ILS frequency. I never hear the interception of the glideslope or the outer/middle/inside markers.

Am I doing something wrong? I did the ILS training and you could hear all the other indicators, but I don't hear it when I am flying on my own.

EDIT:

found the answer, you have to have the Marker knob (MKR) selected on the Radio STack

Got X plane 9 today, going to give it a whirl after the Office tonight

I'm really sorry I haven't done the autoland guide yet people. Fraps has been an arsehole and work is being an even bigger arsehole. I've heard this building (work) would go up with all the records in 2 minutes, if lit with a match. I'm so tempted...
