Mini Mafia - Town wins!

@Sedition - I might not have been as active as I should be but I think I've clearly been more active than Sim and Manly. Though, your point about me sharing my views on who you should jail keep is absolutely valid. I'm disappointed with Manly, he is not defending himself but just posting that I should be lynched, once/if he is lynched and comes up townie. It just makes me more and more suspicious of him. He is trying to confuse us with his play and let me be very honest here, I don't think that Manly is such a bad player that he cannot even defend himself properly.

I lynched Sam for the simple reason, he needs to be more active. Manly's even role claimed but we know nothing about Sim. He is safely hiding behind and saving himself from any suspicion which is simply unacceptable. I've got no idea why he isn't being active and so to put pressure on him, I lynched him. As far as who you should jail keep is concerned, here are my views on each and every player and you can decide for yourself. :)

Barmyarmy - Has looked town, he has been fairly active and has kept good discussion going so overall he looks town to me.

Puddleduck - I appreciate his aggressiveness and he isn't shy to point out anything that he feels wrong in a post which again is something that townies do but he hasn't done anything just yet to be completely cleared in my eyes but overall, he is most likely cleared for me considering that he has really tried to help town.

Hedger - Has claimed vanilla, just like me and Manly so that confuses the things but as the above two, he has been very active and has defended himself well and hasn't done anything suspicious so for now, he is cleared for me.

Sedition - Solid role claim, been very active and your reply to my earlier post, I'd like to appreciate it. You've answered the questions that I raised, I basically wanted you to disclose why do you think that I have been slipping through while I've done my best to contribute to the discussion, whereas Sam and Manly haven't.

Sam - Has been fairly inactive. Hasn't come forward to defend himself, has played very intelligently and hence he had no pressure on him but now, even after having 3 lynches on him, he still isn't posting which is very very suspicious. If he is lynched here and come sup town, I will be very disappointed simply because it just takes all the fun away from the game, when a player is inactive and it's obvious, that when a player is inactive he must be lynched or replaced but I'm not sure whether User will do that maybe sending him a vm will do.

Manly - Been pretty similar to Sam but he has looked suspicious/confused while he has posted, which has been very less. As I pointed out earlier, he has been unnecessarily putting pressure on me. He says 'if he is lynched and is vanilla, I should be lynched' which I think is a simple mafia tactic of confusing the townies. He might even be telling the truth but the chances of that happening are less because simply if he is innocent why doesn't he defend himself? I'd not shy away to lynch him if the rest support it because it's between Manly and Sam for me.

There you go, Sedition. That's my analysis on every player. Let me know if you have any doubts. :)

Unlynch: Manly

Before Sim can hammer him (although, if they're both mafia, does this explain why Sim hasn't hammered him in the many chances he could have so far?)

I'll put it back in a bit probably, but I'd rather hear Sim before he can just lynch off Manly?

----------

FOS: Manly and Sim

Prepared to lynch off Sim if he doesn't provide useful response, whilst will relynch Manly and complete the hammer if Sim lynches him and gives a good enough reason.

Think we're into less than 24 hours now as well, so I guess we need some kind of decision before it's too late?

Also, Adi, that's the first non-scummy post I think I've ever seen you post :D :p

----------

The very fact you haven't just cleared me is a good thing for me, I get a bit suspicious of people who just accept someone is definitely town, as it implies to me they are mafia and are just searching for the power roles. It's why even though I'm sure Barmy is town, I still get the odd pangs of doubts he could just be a very naughty boy :p

Guys, I am really sorry I haven't contributed anything for the past 1 day or so.
A sudden family trip had come up and I was kept in all the prep and stuff. Luckily I have wriggled out of it, so no more 'sliding under the radar' from me. :p Somebody had asked me to role claim, so here it is. I am a Vigilante, sided with the town. Basically I can choose to kill someone at night. However I cannot kill on 2 consecutive nights. I didn't attempt to kill anyone on Night 1, mainly because I wasn't very suspicious of anyone and I felt a random shot would benefit the mafia more than the town.

I was very unsure of whether to reveal my role or not, as I had gained no advantage from it yet. But now I felt it would be better to role claim and see where it leads us narrowing down possible suspects based on our night actions.

----------

Posting my analysis in just a few minutes...

----------

The discussion over whether a person could be deemed suspicious if he has claimed vanilla townie seems a bit frivolous to me. While it is true that a mafia would love to hide behind the garb of being just a plain townie, it is also very much possible the person could be a power role claiming vanilla because it would be unwise for him to reveal his power. Even I had thought of claiming vanilla, before I decided I'd rather just tell it, as even today I am not very confident of who my target would be. With the role out, perhaps everyone can discuss over it and derive a POA which will clear some people.

A what-now???

Ok, consider me absolutely and completely confused. At no point in my potential analysis had I considered a vigilante... Where's my Barmyphone? (Like a Batphone, but the guy on the end isn't as cool).

Someone is gonna have to explain to me what this means for the game now? Could Sim actually be a vigilante? Are they town sided or are they a single role? Could there be 3 mafia? Is that even possible? A vigilante? Maybe there is only one town? A roleblocker? Could Seditions jailbreaker actually be sided with both town and mafia? Could the vigilante? Is there now probably some role that is side with both? How does this effect the balance? What the hell has happend. Mind. Blown.

Lol Sedition. Mind-blown? I never really expected this response!

There is a popular 3rd party role Serial Killer whose can kill someone during the night and wins alone. So that is there.

But considering I'm town, the possibility of a 3rd party aggressive role seems a bit unlikely. (That would result in a very bloody night if everybody's kills go through).

I'm not Sedition, unless my mind has blown so badly I now think I'm Puddle when I'm actually sat in a padded cell somwhere in Australia :p

Hmm, what's your opinion on Manly, Sim? Since currently you are the only other person without a lynch in place? He was one away from the hammer when you were awol, what would you have done? Hammered him? Do you feel anyone else instead looks mafia?

----------

Time is running out, and currently we have Manly and Sim as suspects. One claiming Vanilla, the other claiming vigilante.

On top of that.

Sedition has claimed Jailbreaker.
Aditya has claimed vanilla town.
Hedger has claimed vanilla town.
Barmy is keeping things fairly close to his chest whilst providing some good analysis.
I might have soft-claimed once or twice :p

Here are my thoughts on my fellow players :
Barmyarmy : Seems a very helpful and townish person. He has initiated discussions on many an occasion. Would be very shocked if he come us Mafia.
Puddleduck : Has a very alluring sense of honesty which makes me think he is town, yet he seems an astute person, so maybe it is all an act? Undecided, but I'm leaning towards town.
Manly : Ah. He s straightforward and honest, and that is not a very scum like trait but a lazy scum could hide behind all that just to get by.
Sedition : His play on D1 seemed dodgy tbh. He was attacking a couple of people aggressively, and I must admit I found that a bit unsettling. However, his claim has seemed genuine, if only it weren't for the fact that it puts out Hedger as potential maf, would like barmy has also contributed significantly to the town's cause.
Aditya : (Dude, Why this confusion between Sim and Sam :P ?)
Aditya has given me a few instances where he has seemed a bit dodgy, but overall his play has been a bit like me surprisingly. I mean posting a bit and then being attacked for inactivity. (I'll be better, I promise!!)
So, thinking him scum for doing that would be hypocritical, but I guess you guys were justified in putting 3 lynches on me. As somebody mentioned, losing a townie or infact any member due to inactivity can be frustrating for the players and takes a lot of fun out of the game.

Ah, but I have digressed.
So currently, it seems I have put down most people as town, which all very falsely comforting, so I'll have to go through everything and rethink my opinions.
Manly's lynching off today does seem okayish. I am not very convinced by what he has said to defend himself, and posts like I am not posting much cause I have a life,( though very true, I wish I could say the same, :( ) do nothing to clear his image.

But as we still have some time on our hands, I would give everyone a chance to respond to my response. :facepalm , and then decide on the course to be taken.

It has everything to do with the yellowness of your avatars. I only see colours. No images. I green, you yellow. :p

----------

Yes, I would have hammered him, but won't do so now since obviously there have been suspicions cast on me, and it will be unjust to deny discussion if I were to hammer Manly now.

Aditya : (Dude, Why this confusion between Sim and Sam :P ?)

Well you just called me Sedition, which is probably reason enough to lynch anyone haha. Bloody confuse me for a trolling outback living Aussie :p You can stick a staff sign by his name, changes nothing! ;) (I jest I jest!)

I must admit the best part of playing this game is reading your posts PD! Your sense of humour is great. :lol

----------

And I'll be asleep for the next 8 hours or so, (more if my Mom allows it :D), so while you are ol PD, do you have anything else to ask me. I'll reply to the others tomorrow morning. (We still have time left in the day, right?)

Your sense of humour is great. :lol

Haha, cheers, my girlfriend disagrees :p Apparently winding her up constantly is annoying :D Serves her right thought for being so easy to wind up :yes

Now that you've responded, I am putting my lynch back on Manly. You have said you won't hammer until responses, so to do so would be highly dodgy on your part, especially if he then turned up town. Essentially, this is so that if I miss any important discussion in the next few hours, people can still act and any initial courses of action are still followed.

Amazingly though, since placing it down and being one lynch away, he now seems more town than he has at any point previous to this.

Lynch: Manly

----------

I think we have until 8am tomorrowish? Not sure, can't remember when user last gave a time warning.

----------

Hmm I'm also thinking that if Sedition role blocked you and you are a town aligned vigilante, that if we hit mafia tonight, surely there is some kind of course of action tomorrow that allows you to feasibly hit the final mafia member after claiming?

I'm also thinking that with a vigilante and a roleblocker, there must be 2 mafia, and surely another power player... Maybe there is only one, but definitely not more than 2 vanilla town?

Bugger, gonna need someone else to try and sort this mess out and give me something to analyse.

Unlynch

It may be futile but after what Sim's said, and now PD about the fact he's now not sure there's so many vanilla's, I'm suspicious (again?) of Hedger and his claim.

Just food for thought that's all.

I'm going to sleep now so if I don't make it through the night it's been fun playing with you all, even if I've been the most suspcected person all game haha. When I come up town I am a vanilla, probably the only one so keep that in mind and best of luck for the rest of the game!

I'm not sure about this. I think vigilante would make the town over-powered in a 7 player game so I'm leaning towards my much earlier suspicion that we have a serial killer amongst us. SK variants are that they can kill odd/even nights or choose not to kill. For anyone who wants to see a well disguised SK read this game.

If he is the SK and we lynch wrong today we could potentially lose two more town aligned players overnight and it's game over.
Vig is the standard cover for SK but seeing as vig quite often gets it wrong and kills town anyway I think I'm going to keep my lynch on Simsanta.

----------

Oh and @user - don't go to night just yet as we are getting some good discussion.

----------

Also @puddleduck - it's jailkeeper not breaker :p

[/COLOR]Also @puddleduck - it's jailkeeper not breaker :p

Ha. Yeah that probably makes more sense :p Is it even worth me trying to understand what's been happening. Someone will probably turn up and claim to be the bleedin' fairy godmother next.

So you don't think there is a vigilante? Why not? Why would it be so overpowered? If user won't give extended time, what do we do? How costly is no lynch of any kind today? I suppose less costly than mislynching? I think Sim makes a fairly good point, although obviously if he is claiming Vigilante, and is Serial Killer, surely we'd know the moment two deaths occur that he's decided to go rogue? Would the mafia not look to kill him anyway due to him being a threat to everyone? When does he win? Does he win when one faction, or all factions are eliminated?

----------

I'm struggling to make much sense, which isn't necessarily the game, but the fact that I'm currently reading Odd Women, Hedda Gabler, and Howard's End all at the same time whilst trying to write an essay on gender relations and motherhood in the late 19th century. Brain. Frazzled.

You would tend to have Vig in a larger game where mis-killing can't lose the town the game.
The moment two deaths occur might be too late.
No lynch is better than mislynching but I feel we should lynch today tbh.

Is the reason the lynch today makes more sense because we can then still use the results tomorrow as opposed to potentially being in a position where the mafia and serial killer could do some serious damage?
